Eternity pov
Slowly and reluctantly, I uncover my face. I blink, close my eyes, and blink again. Streaks of sunlight penetrate the window and blind me. I sit up, drag my feet off the bed, and rub my knuckles into my eyes. I stretch my arms above my head and yawn.
I live in my apartment in New York. Of course, I am 21 years old and I didn't live with my parents.
My bedroom is small compared to the living room of my apartment, but I can still fit everything I need into it. I have a bed right in the middle of my squarish room, which takes up quite a bit of space, but I like it that way.
You may find me laying there reading a book in the natural light coming through my window, which is my main source of light.
The storage is great because it is hidden away above my wardrobe, which is built into the wall, although most of my stuff goes under the bed. There is a big black shoebox beside my bed that fits all my shoes in it.
There is a mirror hanging on my offwhite walls above a small table. Next to them, I have a tall, white dress bulging with clothes. I have a white bedside table with an alarm clock, a rosered touch lamp, and a blue Bluetooth speaker.
I scrolled through my social media with no notifications to see this much boredom in my existence. Even so, I believe that one day your life will diminish from your passion and hard work.
I go towards the bathroom to do my morning business, and then, after taking a shower, I put on my sweatshirt and shorts.
After that, I move towards the kitchen for breakfast. I was about to open the fridge for packed food
The sound of a door swinging open caused me to jump.
"Surprise Eter," I heard my best friend Olivia's voice.
"Olli bitch, you are back," I pressed my fist to my mouth, pinching my lips between the thumb and index finger.
She is in London on a business trip from her workplace. Olivia and I have been best friends since childhood elementary school. We are partners in crime.
"Yeah, I wish to surprise my hag," Olivia said, and the next moment I felt my breath choke as she wrapped her arms around me.
"Wow, so how is your trip to London, bitch?" my neck tipped back
"Ughh, seriously, It was completely headache, especially when you have to go to work and that asshole manager of our branch, I stopped myself to give him peace of mind," as spittle built up in the corners of her mouth.
"Seriously, spare that poor fellow. He would be in hospital if he had the bad side of yours," I spoke as I paced around the kitchen to find butter.
"Yeah, yeah, pray he doesn't see my bad side," Olivia answered as her face was getting flushed with her hands getting into fists.
"Okay, leave it. What about that dress which we saw last time window shopping?" I quickly changed the topic because.....
Warning, be careful; my best friend has very weird and toxic anger issues.
"Oh, I've got something," she added and picked out an exquisite photo frame where mine and her childhood image are there.
"Wowee Oli, this is an amazing bitch," Slowly, I release a deep breath while observing the beautiful picture frame.
Indeed, it is true. I bought these from London two. One is for you, another is for me. This is yours, "she answered and placed it in the living room of my apartment.
"So what would you go for to eat shag?" I demanded while reaching out for bread and milk from the fridge.
"Nothing, hag, "Come on, let's go to Starbucks." am dying for a cold Vanilla Bean from Starbucks," Olivia said while
Grabbing the sides of her head and then sliding fingers down the cheeks,
"Okay, let's go. I am in." I wrapped my arms around myself and led towards my bedroom and picked up a white sweatshirt and black jeans and my favourite white sneakers. I pulled my dark brown hair into one French braid. I only put on Babylips lip balm. I prefer my face makeupfree; it doesn't need any makeup.
I grabbed my backpack and placed my credit card into it and reached out to the living room.
Olivia is lying on one of the couches in the living room watching a random movie while munching chips. She is in blue jeans with a yellow tank top and a denim jacket over it. Her black hair is in a ponytail.
"Ready?" I asked while locking the door of my bedroom.
Olivia lifted her eyes at me and grinned.
"You look like shit," she said while wiggling her eyebrows.
"I know, wanker," I rolled my eyes at her, but my friend was looking at her.
My and Olivia's friendship is like this: we always call each other by names like Witch, Bitch, wanker, whore, or hag, as they are ways to express our love for each other, not the love of Romeo and Juliet but the love of BFF, which means Best friends forever. Olivia is like a real sister to me.
"Yeah, let's go," she said, standing up and waving her arms.
We made our way away from my apartment building and got into Olivia's car.
She drops her car into a Starbucks cafe; we go there, and I am welcomed with the delicious aroma of coffee making.
Rats in my stomach are dancing
"You remain here. I will return our orders, "she said while taking out her credit card. even
"Okay, please come fast, I am starving," I smiled sheepishly and led them to meet at one of the tables.
After spending a very wonderful time with Olivia, we were getting away from Starbucks.
Suddenly, Olivia's phone buzzed.
"Hello," she answered and frowned upon hearing another person in line.
"Okay, I am coming," she pouted, then looked at me as she rubbed her hands together.
"It's an emergency call from work." "I will drop you at your apartment," she said, pouting and looking down.
"Hey, it's okay, don't feel bad. You go, girl. I prefer to go by bicycle today," I said.
When Olivia has gone, I hire a bicycle from a website on my phone.
After some moments, a boy shows up with a bicycle he showed me, the bicycle and keys, and here I leave to experience riding a bicycle.
I love biking. I admire it all year round. That proposition's spirit, the path's acceleration, and rise and fall, the opportunity to go over grass, mud, or road...It is a freedom I will always crave. That sort of liberty is a gift, is it not? A privilege of movement, to strengthen oneself while having so much fun. And so, as I pass the cars that pollute, the passengers cower in their seats.
While riding a bicycle,
I saw the Lexus LC Without a doubt, one of the best luxury sports.
My unhealthy obsession with cars
I have been busy watching that wonderful car.
I was about to crash against the gigantic wall when I noticed the accident which was about to happen to me. My mouth is falling open, making my upper lip curl back. I tighten my clutch around the handle of a bicycle while closing my eyes so tight.
Someone's hands folded around my waist.
And that person twirled me around and that bike went away.
I and that person collided on the harsh surface of the road.
"No, I wept." I steady my breath and try to calm the panic.
I tightly closed my eyes while my breathing grew heavier with my rising body.
Seconds passed, and I didn't feel any pain again. I cleared my eyes and my muscles got stiff.

Seconds passed and I didn't feel any pain again. I cleared my eyes and my muscles got stiff.
I noticed I was hovering over a man.
He had tousled dark black hair, which was thick and lustrous. His eyes were a hypnotic deep crystal blue.Flecks of silvery light performed ballets throughout. His face was strong and defined, his features moulded from granite. He had dark eyebrows, which sloped downwards in a serious expression. His lips had drawn into a hard line across his face. His perfect lips are ripe for kissing. When our eyes meet each other, I feel time stop. Everything pauses, just him and me.
The crystal blue colour swirled into an Atlantic blue as he gazed at me. I could feel myself becoming hypnotised by the changing colors.
I could see windstirred waves in his eyes. If one were brave enough to enter their depths, all else would blur, and you'd fall so deeply in love that you'd choose to stay there, no matter what. Of that, I'm completely sure.
"What the hell, girl, if you don't know how to ride a bicycle, why the hell do you ride it? What if something happens to my favourite car?" he snapped with his jaw clenched.
He squinted at me through hardened eyes that once had been my salvation, but now they brought only unfounded accusations. Their colour had only yesterday reminded me of my seaport home, gazing out to where the blue of the ocean blended into the blue of the sky. Now they were simply chilling. Every muscle in his face was tense and without a word he communicated intense mistrust, anger, and despising. He was glaring at me, seething, clenching his fists rhythmically...
His sudden outburst took me back, and even barred my teeth after hearing his ugly words.
"You know, it's my eyes, so my wish where I wish to look and my legs wherever I wish to go. It's none of your business, Mr. whatever your name is, I don't care," I snapped at him with clenched fists.
"Did you have mental issues? Because of you I am in this condition," he barked with a dry mouth.
I noticed he was wearing a maroon expensive Armani suit, but his hand was bleeding, of course, because of falling on the hard surface of the road, practically because of me. Even though I am hovering over him, it's so intimate.
"Oh, so sorry," he said, and got up from behind. I extended my hand to him to help him, but he abruptly stood by himself, rejecting my help.
Whatever he thinks of me, the truth is he is injured because of my stupidity. Even though blood was coming out of his hand, he didn't even let a scratch come to me. I am perfectly fine because of him.
"You are hurt." I cried out, and took his hand to examine the wound, but he quickly snatched away his hand from my touch as I was about to burn him.
I don't need your help. I will take care of it by myself, "he snapped with bared teeth.
I closed my eyes, breathing deeply. One, two, three, four, five. I noticed a clay ball beneath my feet; I crushed it so hard by cursing in my heart. It's practically my mistake. I should be grateful to him rather than be angry with him.
"Please, let me at least examine your wound, otherwise it will catch something serious," I said, secondguessing the consequences if I didn't treat his wounds. What if he catches serious infections from wounds?
He stared intensely into my eyes. Something flickered in his beautiful crystal blue eyes, some unknown emotion. Before I could read it, it again went into his usual cold, emotionless eyes.
Don't you understand? I don't need your bloody help. Get lost from here, "he sneered at me."
"Listen Mr., I AM GOING TO EXAMINE YOUR WOUND, DON'T YOU DARE TO REFUSE ME," I said, thrusting my chin upwards to him, who seemed surprised by my outburst.
I led him to his car; it is that LEXUS LC, which handles this mess, but how beautiful is this car, ugh my obsession?
I opened the door of the car for him and made him sit there. "Um, you have to pull away from your suit so I can properly see your wound and treat it." I asked him, and he sighed and started taking off his suit. I helped him do it when finally he took off his suit. He was in a white shirt. Even from the shirt, I could see his perfectly sculpted abs and Greek God body like bliss. Wait, what was I thinking? No, he is a jerk but still my saviour
I unbuttoned his shirt because his elbow and lower hand were injured; he was staring at me without blinking his eyes. Did he ever blink? I thought
I took a first aid kit and took cotton and dripped it into antiseptic.
"It will hurt a little, but trust me, not much," I said to him, and he rolled his eyes while tapping his foot.
While I was treating his wound, I felt his eyes on me the entire time. I looked up and noticed he again had emotions in his cold eyes.
When he noticed me, his eyes again darkened. He looked away from me, with fidgeting muscles.
"Get out," he barked at me...
I frowned, confused. "W... What?" I ask, gripping the hem of the bandage in my hand.
You saved me from that freaking accident, Mr. Unmannered jerk, or I also don't know how badly I made your condition by talking to me in such a rude manner.
He closed his eyes, and his hands clenched into fists. "I said get the hell out. I don't like to repeat myself." This time he replied loudly to me, with bared teeth.
I quickly got out of his car as he said to me, and a man in his late thirties came running towards us. He is in a white uniform, like a driver.
"Sir," he says, bowing slightly.
Mr. Jerk and I took some steps back to turn around and look away.
"Blake, to my penthouse," he ordered, and Blake quickly ran towards the driver's seat.
Mr. Jerk rolled close to his car's window.
I cupped my elbow with one hand while tapping my lips with the other.
The sound of the car started to eavesdrop into my ears.
I stared at Mr.Jerk already in the car, but like he realised something, he quickly snapped his head in my direction, just as his cold eyes met mine.
I felt my breathing growing faster and more audible. Something was there in those beautiful crystal blue eyes, and after some seconds, the car was out of my sight like it never existed.
I pity poor Blake. How can he even tolerate that, irritated by everything in this world, 'Mr. Jerk', my cheeks dimpled at my thoughts? I should not think like this. He saved me from the accident.
I can't even say thank you to him. He saved me from getting hurt, but how can I? He didn't even talk properly to me, and besides this, why is he so rude and cold towards me? I shook away this thought.
Well, it seems like I have to take the subway to my apartment.
I shrugged and went towards the subway station.

I felt dizzy while feeling my rushing adrenaline.
I got a job at The Knight Industries as a Quotes and Add Designer in the Marketing and Advertising Department of The Knight Industries.
I got an email from the company, Knight Industries, about my job acceptance. They are one of the best and biggest industries in the whole USA.
It's mostly impossible to get a job there. I heard they hire the best of the best.
Well, I have always been good at my studies from my childhood with great grades, but there are some dark memories as well. I shook my head. I don't want to think about it now, I thought.
I have been searching since this morning in my wardrobe for what to wear. Normally I don't put so much effort into my clothing, but I have to give a good impression on my first day of work. It is, after all, The Knight Industries.
Finally, after thinking and searching for so long, I found the perfect clothes.
I put on a white blouse, a black fitted pencil skirt, and white heels. I applied only lip balm on my lips. I put mascara on my eyes and the rest of my face I leave natural. It doesn't need makeup.
After that, Olivia comes to my place.
"Ready, Eter," I overheard her voice while I was applying moisturiser over my face.
"Yes," I said while coming out of my room, keeping important documents I needed there.
When Olivia saw me, her head tilted slightly to the side.
"Eter, you look so beautiful," she said to me as her lips parted.
"Thank you, fan," I said to her and winked playfully.
"You know, if I was a boy, then I could have married you right here." She nudged me playfully, and I gave her a flying kiss while keeping my documents in my purse.
"Okay, let's go. I don't want you to be late on the first day of your work," she said.
"Yeah," I said while sitting in the passenger seat of her car.
Finally, after a halfhour, we arrived at Knight Industries.
I gasped while seeing the biggest and most stunning skyscraper I have ever seen. The Knight Industries written over it.
This name and skyscraper appear to be quite elegant.
I saw guards standing outside the industry. Protect it like soldiers protect the palace.
"Bye, Eter, all the best on your first day," Olivia said to me, giving me a hug.
"Thank you," I said to her while closing my eyes and taking a calming breath.
"Wait, Eter, I have something for you here," Olivia said, giving me a packed cup of Oreo shake.
"Wow Oli, thank you so much. I need this girl. You know me very well," I said while sagging against the side of her car, with a slow smile.
"I've known you since childhood, and whenever you're stressed, you feel better after drinking an Oreo shake; remember childhood memories," she said, smiling.
"Yeah, childhood days are the best," I said.
"Okay, Eter go, otherwise you will get late," she said, squeezing my hand.
"Yeah," I said while getting out of the car.
When I go towards the entrance, the guard asks me for my ID and a letter.
I showed him a letter and I got through the company email.
Then he gave me a curt nod to go inside.
"Thank you," I said to him with a little smile.
When I walked into the building
My heartbeat increased as my mouth felt so dry, staring at its Elegant and Grace can't describe this place. It is so amazing and beautiful with a stunning interior. My trance was broken when someone accidentally bumped into me.
I rubbed my legs several times into the carpet before entering this amazing skyscraper.
I shook my head. Still, my mind is trying to calm itself.
"Hey," I said to the receptionist, "She is blonde with a beautiful face and she is wearing a blue pencil skirt and white blouse."
"Yes," She looked at me with a cheerful smile. Seeing her smile, my mood started to lighten up.
I am new here. I just got a job, "I said to her.
"Name," she asked.
"Eternity Granger," I said to her.
She types what seems like my name on the keyboard of the laptop. After some seconds, she meets my gaze.
"Report to Assistant editor, 27th floor. Report to Elena Cary. She is the head of the department," she said to me while pointing towards the lift.
"Thank you," I said to her with a tingling warmth in my limbs.
When I went towards the elevator, it had a huge crowd among it. I stood among the men in business suits and nicely dressed blonde girls.
My gaze was drawn to another elevator, which appeared luxurious despite having a platinum border around it; however, it appeared abandoned.
I go towards it.
"What if I took this?" I thought, giggling and about to enter it.
"It's for private use, mam, but the only boss who can use it," the guard said to me, giving me an apologetically wry smile.
I nodded. I could feel my skin picking up. By my behaviour earlier
Why do I have to poke my nose everywhere?
I was about to go down the public elevator when my leg hit something hard and I was ready to fall on the floor. I quickly closed my eyes. I felt goosebumps over my hands. With accelerated breathing rate, I felt my body muscles getting tense.
But nothing happened until I felt an arm around my waist and felt my body tense with the touch of the person who was holding me by the waist.
Slowly, I opened my eyes. I saw those stunning crystal blue eyes again.
Wait, he is that man who saved me yesterday from a freaking accident, but he is rude as hell towards me. I looked at his hand, but he was dressed in an Armani suit, so it was hidden.
Glancing up, I saw his side profile: Aaron Knight! owner of Knight & Co.
Bye, world! Please wear bright colours at my funeral.
Is that Aaron Knight? Oh my God, that's why I've had a feeling I've seen him somewhere, in top magazines and newspapers. Why that day I couldn't recognise him then? Maybe because my mind was fully focused on the accident that time.
"You again," he said to me with rigid stiffness in his muscles. I could feel his hands tight around my waist with his eyes darkening.
Why is he always pissed off at me?
He quickly jerked his hands off of my waist. I balanced myself, standing up straight.
Without even a single glance, he goes towards his private elevator with a man and a group of guards trailing behind him as loyal tails.
"Seems like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," I muttered to myself.
I can feel my weight shifting side by side. I go towards another elevator where people are already there. Finally, when I arrive at the 27th floor, I go towards the office of the head of the department.
When I reached the office, I knocked on her door. "Ma'am, this is Eternity Granger," I said.
"Oh yes, honey, please come in," she said with a very cheerful voice.
"Thank you," I said to her while sitting on the seat in front of her. She invited me to sit
Your grades are very impressive. Your certificates in art design are also very impressive. Even your points in an interview at our company are very nice. So, I hope you won't disappoint me, "she said to me softly.
"No, ma'am, I will try to give my best to you," I said to her, and she chuckled.
Mrs. Elena called out, "Nancy."
After that, a girl whom I can see named Nancy comes to the cabin.
"Yes, ma'am," she said, smiling at Mrs.Carry.
"Please show Miss Granger her desk, Nancy dear;"
"Yes, ma'am, of course," she said to her, smiling at me.
Before I go, Mrs. Elena Cary said to me, "I hope you will enjoy working for Knight." I nodded to her.
"Of course ma'am," I said.
Nancy comes out of her office.
"Here is your desk. Please make yourself comfortable," she said to me, smiling widely.
"Thank you," I told her.
"What is your name?" she asked me.
"Hii, I am Eternity," I said.
"Wow, Eternity, such a lovely name. My name is Nancy Martin, and here is your report for which you must work," she said, handing me a file.
After getting a brief description of my work from her, I sat down at my desk after completing my file. I sighed.
And thinking about Aaron, I can't believe he saved me that day, but he was always so cold and pissed off with me. I don't know why How is his hand still hurting him? I didn't even say thank you to him. He never talked straight with me.

Eternity's pov
After 2 weeks
It's been two weeks since I started working here at Knights Empire Industry.
I must say, I enjoyed my work here. I mean, everyone is so friendly here with me except that arrogant Aaron Knight, owner, and CEO of the Knights empire.
Avery, the receptionist whom I met on the first day, also ended up being my good friend.
So, now I have a really interesting and amazing workplace.
Well, before coming, I always buy coffee.
One for Mrs. Elle Clark and receptionist Avery and, of course, for me, it's become my daily routine
I am wearing a black dress reaching below my thigh and wearing a white jacket above it with black boots. I tied my long brown hair into a ponytail.
I was just getting away from Starbucks, grabbing a packet that contained three cups of coffee.
Before I could make it towards the skyscraper of the Knight Empire,
A man in a black hoodie. His face is covered with a cap of his black hoodie.
He handed me a brown folder and said, "Keep it." He mentioned to me
"What is this?" I asked as I tilted my head quizzically.
But he spoke nothing and rapidly went aside from my way.
I stood there with a small gasp and stared at the folder.
"What was that for?" I whispered and then decided that I should open this folder when I reach the office.
I came to the Skyscraper of the Knight Empire.
Then I put a cup of coffee on Avery's desk. That receptionist ended up being my good friend.
She smiled at me. "Eter, you don't need to," she said.
"Come on, at least this I can do for my good friend," I said to her.
Then I put coffee at Mrs. Elle Clark's, head of my department office. "Thank you, dear," she said kindly to me.
I said to her with a dazed look of bewilderment because I was thinking about the brown folder in my bag which that mysterious hooded man gave me.
"What happened, dear? You seem worried," she whispered to me.
"Nothing just seems like I woke up too early," I said while glancing around the room or refusing to make eye contact with her.
Then I came into my desk. I stared at that folder; I leaned my head over my chair while chewing my lip and opened that folder.
When I opened that folder, my skin gets tingled seeing what was in it
It was confidential information about Knight Empire, my workplace, and also some very personal information about deals that are going to be cracked by our company.
But strange, this is very confidential information, which is mainly only for the boss and owner of the company.
What is this doing to me and, most importantly, who was that mysterious man?
I should tell him everything.
I quickly go towards the elevator with that brown folder.
And go towards floor 24, the CEO's Floor.
When I arrived at the CEO's floor, I quickly went towards his office.
I met his assistant, Ancy, outside his office.
"Hey, Ancy," I said to her.
"Oh Eter." "Hi, how are you girl," she said to me, smiling cheerfully.
"Yeah, can I meet Mr. Knight, please. It's urgent," I asked her while sweat was coming down from my forehead, as I felt tingling cramps in my stomach.
"Um, Eter." I am sorry but Sir is not here. He is in another branch of the company which is in California, "she said to me, smiling in apology."
"Um, okay," "I said in a low whisper while clutching that folder so tightly, I could feel my nails getting dig to do hard.
"Is there anything important you can tell me?" she said
"N... Nothing, okay, see you around," I said to her and comes out from CEO's floor
It was an evening I was working on files given to me
Someone comes and stands before my desk. It is a bodyguard.
"Excuse me, Miss Granger, you are called to Ceo Office," He said to me
"Okay," I said to him, standing up and going towards the elevator
When we arrived at Aaron's office,
I found two people one is a middleaged man, and another is a girl less aged than that man and the team of lawyers least six lawyers sitting but my boss Aaron Knight he is not here
When they saw me, that middleaged man stood up and said
"Miss Granger, good you come. I am Coyle. Now can you please tell us where you are in the morning and who you meet." He said to me, his face having a hard expression, which means no funny business, strictly business.
"It would be great if you told me why I am being questioned," I said matteroffactly.
"Because of a crime investigation," The woman who was younger than him. She is shorter than him and has blonde hair, which is tied in a ponytail.
"According to surveillance and our investigation, you received a package from someone in the morning," and looked at me, and I remembered the package I received in the morning from a mysterious man.
"I did receive something," I said to them.
"Oh," the woman said, looking at me.
"Do you have that document?" Coyle asked me.
"Yes, it is at my desk," I said, shifting back and forth.
After a while, the guard brings that document from my desk.
When they opened it, they found all the important confidential documents about Knight Industries.
"Why would that man give these documents to you or if he has been collecting them for you?" Coyle asked me.
After an hour, they were investigating me, asking questions about the incident.
I was poking my tongue lightly into my cheek and inhaling a long breath. I already told them that I didn't know that hooded man, but they seemed to believe in me.
Finally, the CEO, Aaron Knight, that arrogant jerk, showed up in all businesslike crisp wrinkles free Armani suit with two men following behind him.
Coyle, Abby He acknowledged them and looked at us sleepless. His deep crystal blue eyes stopped at me. He looked at me with a straight face. His hair was messed up like he had run his hand through it because of frustration. He looked exhausted, but still, he looked so handsome.
When I looked at him, I noticed his clenched jaw, intense eye contact, furrowed brows, and reddened skin.
"You," he shouted at me with furrowed eyebrows and clenched teeth, making my muscles tense up, making cramps in my stomach.
It seems like I am in great deep trouble.

Eternity's pov
I glanced at her, and her face lacked the glimmer that every girl's face has at her wedding; her hopes had been destroyed. I looked at me.
I'm wearing a lovely lace offshoulder bridal gown. But my eyes are still swollen from sobbing all night. I used a lot of bb cream, concealer, and foundation to mask my tired face, but I still look like a crying mess.
Since childhood, I've had a lot of wedding fantasies, as my maternal grandma used to say.
Marriage isn't something you wear on your finger or sign on a piece of paper. It should be relished rather than endured.
It's the coming together of two hearts that beat as one, each willing to make sacrifices for the happiness and wellbeing of the other.
Marriage is so lovely that it would be a blooming rose in the natural world, with its dazzling petals permitted to unfold in the warm sunlight.
Maybe that's why we offer roses to the people we care about and include them in our holy couplings so frequently. Marriage is a gift we offer to one other, a lifelong link between soul mates.
However, things are different in my situation. My soulmate isn't getting married to me. I'm being married to Aaron Knight, the Devil, and we'll never be one since I've always been a lone wolf.
He despises me because he only cares about his success, his name and celebrity, and his multibilliondollar firm's profits because he believes I'm a traitor who might jeopardise his company and reputation.
Flashback
"You," he yelled, and I jolt back a little at the sound of his voice.
"I'd want to speak with her alone," he said, and everyone began to leave.
It's just him and me now.
He's approaching me now. I bowed my head because I lacked the strength to gaze into his ferocious angry eyes, which appear to burn me.
"Please trust me when I say that I did nothing wrong and that I don't even know that man," she said. Tears were about to pour from my eyes, but I didn't let them since I hadn't done anything wrong, I whispered in hushed tones. I've never deceived a friend or a family member.
"You know you might be found guilty and spend years in prison," he remarked bitterly.
"But I don't know that man. He comes and gives me that file before I could ask. He already goes," I said, feeling rooted to the spot.
"Stop lying." I know people like you who don't know anything except to betray people and grab black money, " "He said to me and my heart got shattered at his words."
How can he judge me without knowing the truth? Anger flooded inside me.
I know you are pissed off because of this data and personal information leak scandal, but no one gives you the right to talk to me like this. I won't appreciate the tone you are talking to me in. I can feel my vein that pulses, becomes engorged
After hearing my words, his hands clenched into fists, and he narrowed his eyes at me. Suddenly, he came close to me. He grabbed the wrist of my hand, put it on my back, and twisted it.
"Ah, I cried out," due to lack of energy shooting through my nerves.
"Don't dare raise your fucking voice on me, or I'll do something even worse than you could have imagined," he gritted to me.
A tear rolled down my eyes.
After some time, he pushed me away abruptly and I stumbled and slammed on the wall, falling down.
"I am prepared to return my complaint and investigation on you," he said, causing me to look at him with a small gasp.
"W...... What?" I whisper.
"But I have a condition," he said to me.
"W.. What is the condition?" I whisper, wondering what it could be.
"Marry Me," he said, and my body stiffened, as if I were about to pass out from dizziness.
"Sorry, I can't marry you," I quickly said to him.
"Well, think properly before refusing me. I knew everything about you." Your parents are divorced; your mother married another man and has her own family, just like your dad.
He is also married to another woman and has his own family, and you live with your maternal grandmother, who is no more now, but your maternal grandmother's home is the only place you have as your maternal grandmother's last memory. "What if I burn down that house and auction that land?" he said to me, giving me "Try me," Look at.
My blood boils after hearing his words.
I felt an increase in my blood flow to my extremities.
My hands clenched into fists and I slapped him as hard as I could.
"You. How dare you?" He said dangerously and grabbed my arms so tightly that it was sure to leave bruises because it hurt so much and slammed me against the wall so hard that I fell on the harsh floor, crying in agony.
"Don't you dare ever lay your hands on me," He snarled at me, looking like he would kill me anytime.
"Now listen to me very carefully. You are marrying me and not even the heavens can stop me." He ordered while his chest was rising and falling rapidly with his hands clenched into fists.
"Why do you want to marry me?" I asked, still a crying mess.
Because I want to keep an eye on you until the investigation into the hooded man who gave you that folder is completed, and I want to punish you. I know you're planning to steal confidential information about my company, but prepare to face hell now," he said, his muscles and veins straining against his skin.
Flashback over
The door then slammed shut. Wilber, my younger cousin's brother, who is nine months younger than me, and Olivia, the son of my maternal uncle, visit me.
Olivia's eyes are swollen as well from crying, as I can tell.
She encircled me and shut off my air supply with her arms.
"I'm going to miss you so much, Eter," she whispered, her watery eyes blinking incessantly.
I looked down at my hands and responded, "Me too."
"Eter, because you're marrying Aaron, does that imply you're forgetting about "him?" she said, and my heart missed a beat.
I've avoided thinking about him for all these years. Eliot, I've had a crush on him since high school, but things changed after that horrible recollection, but I'll never forget him; he was my first and final love.
Then Wilber, my cousin's brother, approached me and hugged me, saying he didn't know anything about the forced marriage and that if he did, he would do anything to prevent it because he is my overprotective brother, but I have no choice but to marry him to preserve the last memory of my beloved grandmother.
"I can't believe my booboo has grown up when my little sister becomes 21 and is getting married," he remarked, cupping my face.
I felt a churning in my stomach and felt like my insides were vibrating as I gripped the bouquet and clutched the arm of my Brother Wilber tightly.
We enter the eternal and artistically furnished aisle of the church, which is adorned with white flowers and light pink tulips and seems like heaven.
And I saw him, my soontobe husband, that devil
He is so handsome and beautiful in his crisp blue wrinklefree Armani suit, his dark black hair is styled back perfectly, and his powerful jaw is cleanly shaved. But I know the reality of this arrogant jerk for the world. He is so beautiful, of course, he is Multibillionaire anyone's dream man, but he is a devil in disguise.
His gaze was drawn to mine, and I saw that my mouth was growing moist, that my saliva was increasing, and that my breath was becoming more rapid.
My limbs tremble. I felt an unusual emotion in his eyes for me as I totally glanced up at him, but he quickly swept it away with his normal icy demeanour.
I'm right next to him.
The priest began chanting wedding hymns, but my head is too fatigued to comprehend what I'm saying; I've had enough.
The priest began
"Do you accept the Eternity Granger to be wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or worse, in sickness and in health, to love, cherish, and obey, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance?"
"I do," Aaron said, and I felt fluttering and even mild pain in my chest.
The Priest said it again to me.
At first, I thought to say no, but soon realised my maternal grandma's house was her last memory. I have
My parents are divorced now. They have their own family.
So I only live with my maternal grandmother and grandfather.
My grandma is no more, but my grandpa is still alive and loves me a lot. I have to do this for their house, which is made from the savings they worked hard for, even though it has my childhood memories with them. My grandma's last memory
Closing my eyes, blocking every other thought, I say, "I do."
"Now I may pronounce you husband and wife, congratulations," the priest announced, beaming at us.
"Now you may kiss the bride," the priest said, and here my heart started pounding so fast in my chest.
No, I don't want to kiss him.I tightly closed my eyes. I had never been kissed before. I felt like I would pass out anytime from dizziness.
His eyes are also hard, with clenched hands and a flushed face. He also didn't want to kiss me. I can feel his ferocious gaze on me, but there are too many people around. He leaned forward, and I closed my eyes because of anxiety. I felt his lips brush into mine like a feather. It felt so divine. I don't know why, but it pleases my heart so much. He pulled apart from me.
People started coming toward us to congratulate us and thank us, but Aaron was standing like a rock.
A handsome rock ugh shut up stupid inner voice, he's a Devil.
Well, after some time, I realised he was not beside me. I looked around to find him, but he was nowhere to be seen.
He introduces himself as Aaron's childhood best friend, comes to me with a beautiful, cheerful smile and calls me a sissy because he considers me as his sister. He always wanted a sister.
"Oh, hi Phil, did you see Aaron anywhere?" I didn't find him, "I said to him while looking around to find my husband.
"Yeah, actually he has to go for business purposes," Fhil said awkwardly to me, scratching his neck.
"Um, it's okay, I can understand," I said to her.
Well, what can I expect from Aaron? He hates me so much.
"But he tells me to take you to Knight's mansion," Fhil said to me cheerfully.
"Yeah, let's go," I said.
After saying my goodbyes to everyone, I went outside the church and was stunned to see a RollsRoyce Phantom....car., "Ready to go to your house, sissy?" Fhil nudged me.
After that, we sat in that amazing car.
"Um, Fhil, where are Aaron's parents?" I didn't see them at the wedding, "I asked Fhil wondering.
Fhil smiled sadly at me and said, "They died when Aaron was 11 years old. He loves his parents so much."
This makes me feel sad for Aaron. He lost his parents when he was only 11. My heart aches for that 11yearold Aaron.
"So sissy, what is your favourite color?" Fhil asked me cheerfully.
"I prefer green and pink," I responded, gently smiling and staring into his eyes.
"What is the same here? I think we are brother and sister from other parents," he said with a wide smile at me.
"Yeah," I also said to him with the widest smile.
Fhil is an amazing guy. He is his childhood best friend Aaron's. That is because their fathers are business partners. Even Fhil tells me very hilarious stories about Aaron's childhood. Fhil has an amazing sense of humor. I am so happy. Finally, I have an amazing brother and friend here.

When we arrived to Knight's estate, I gasped as I saw the most magnificent huge mansion I had ever seen in my life.
Knight's Estate was a large estate in one of Yorkshire's most picturesque areas.
After all, it's Aaron Knight's lavenderscented mansion. The aroma brings out the delicate purple tone of the walls, which in the early light reminds me of spring forgetmenots. I never wanted to live in a large house, preferring instead to live in a cosy and inviting environment. It's the ideal place for needs, as well as what many people dream about.
But I'll miss my old place.
It's my "cottage," as I like to refer to it. The old was a stage for my new works, fresh paintings daubed on beautiful squares of canvass, in the sky, adorned with everything rustic. Until you give it your personality, leave your stamp, and communicate what is essential to you, space is simply space.
But I have to wait for this marriage contract to expire, and until then, I have to live with him; just thinking about him gives me a peculiar feeling, which is quite nice.
The mansion is surrounded by security guards.
When they heard us approaching, they opened a big mansion doorway.
"Wow, this is heaven," I remarked to Fhil, wiggling my fingers instinctively.
"Truly it is, you enjoy this home," Fhil remarked.
When the car comes to a halt, a man in his forties who appears to be the gatekeeper opens the gate for me and bends down slightly.
"Welcome madam, I'm Collins, your bodyguard and personal driver for the time being; we're delighted to have you," says Collins. He smiled and said to me.
"Thank you Collins," I say, smiling. "Please call me Eternity," I say.
"Eternity, I'm going to go now because you need to relax, but I promise I'll show up to see you, I promise," Fhil stated with a lovely grin.
I bit my lower lip as I said, "OK."
He throws his arms around me and reaches for his car.
The mansion's front door then opened.
It was a stunning, fantastic space. My skin is tingling.
His living room is welldesigned, with large glass walls around the staircase and majestic white colour draperies, as well as a marble floor adorned with richly patterned carpets.
"Good afternoon Mrs. Knight mam," said a lady in her late 40s as she welcomed me with a pleasant grin.
"Good afternoon," I answered with a smile, "and please refer to me as Eternity." I'm aware of my plucking skin.
"My name is Amy, and I work here as a maid with fifty other maids; we all reside in the servant quarters of the mansion," she said. "Please come, have lunch, and then I will show you your room; you need to relax, and then I will give you a tour of this Mansion," she added.
"Yeah," I said, nodding to her and shifting my gaze across the room.
I'm exhausted and need to get some rest.
Now, I'm in a poor way these days because I have too much on my plate. First, I married Aaron Knight, the richest billionaire in the world, my'socalled,' husband, who doesn't even look at me once, he despises me that much.
I despise him because he pushed me to marry him, which is why I despise him so much.
"But Amy, I'm not hungry; I just need to sleep," I said her as my sight wandered across the living room to a huge, expensivelooking couch.
To be honest, I don't have much of an appetite after this marriage.
"No, no, sweetie, at the very least eat a bit. You'll enjoy my cuisine, I'm sure "She persisted, a puppy expression on her face.
I can't refuse her; if I do, she will be disappointed.
I offer her a friendly nod.
We walk into the kitchen and I look about without actually seeing anything. My muscles are frozen, and I have a knot in my stomach. It is one of the most opulent and elegant kitchens I have ever seen.
"Wow, Amy, this kitchen is incredible," I said, my pupils dilated as I gazed at the stunning work of art in front of me.
Amy remarked, "With a smile," she added.
"I'm glad you enjoy it; please go to the dining room, and I'll bring you your lunch. A second turn will take you to the dining area "she expressed herself.
I plead, "Let me assist you."
"No, no mam," she responded abruptly, "I'll do it for you; you don't have to cook."
"Please do not refer to me as mam; instead, refer to me as Eternity," I told her that I dislike being addressed as Mam or Mrs. Knight.
"OK, Eternity," she did apologize.
I give a nod and walk into the dining room.
I was again taken aback when I saw how lovely and classy the dining room looked.
I sat in one of the dining table's seats, thinking of Eliot, my high school sweetheart and first love, whom I loved with all my heart.
I miss My Eliot so terribly because of how we used to eat together, how he used to feed me with such affection, but that awful and dark occurrence alters everything.
Then Amy arrives with Hominy Grits DeepDish Pizza, which smells very delicious.
When she saw my response, she grinned and placed the tray on my table.
After taking one mouthful, I began to devour it.
"Wow Amy, this is really good, I adore it," I told her that after eating her great cuisine, my mood brightened.
Amy said to me, "I'm delighted you like it."
After I completed my meal, I went for a walk.
"Come, sweetie, I'll show you your room," Amy said. "Please freshen up and relax dear."
Then Amy and I proceeded up the great steps. As we were heading down the corridor, she came to a halt in front of a door and opened it. This is the most stunning and lovely bedroom I have ever seen in my life, I said.
"Wow," I said as I gazed around the room.
I take a few steps around the room, enjoying it.
Following that, I noticed a door in my new bedroom. It was there when I opened it.
My clothing, gowns, and shoes are carefully put around it in my walkin closet; not only my things, but also another expensivelooking lovely dress, bags, and shoes I saw here.
"This is all for your eternity, Mr. Knight's personal outfit designer planned everything for you,"
I gave a nod. I'm at a loss for words. Clothing, as well as other items such as purses and jewellery, are not my favourites.
"I have to go now," Amy said to me, "so freshen up and phone me if you need anything."
I quickly removed my bridal gown and changed into my yellow oversized sweatshirt and shorts.
I stepped from the closet and leaped into the plush bed; I was in desperate need of sleep to clear my head.
Chapter 7 Preview
I drew back from the pink duvet as I opened my eyes. I expose my face slowly and cautiously. I blink twice, then close my eyes and blink once more. I am blinded by rays of sunshine that pass through the window. I get out of bed, drag my feet out, and rub my knuckles into my eyes. I yawn with my arms stretched over my head. My legs hang over the offwhite carpet, and I keep an eye on them.
It's not my room, I turned around.
Oh, my socalled marriage to jerk Aaron Knight comes flooding back. At my husband's home, here is my new room.
It was 8:50 p. m. when I was studying, according to the digital clock on the wall.
I slept too much.
I remind myself that my maternal grandmother is an ideal wife, and she always tells me that when I get married, I must grow into an ideal wife for my husband, but I never imagined that my life would turn into a farce and that one day I would be married to the devil, Aaron Knight, who doesn't care about people but is obsessed with his business and his wealth.
However, he is now my husband, and my grandmother has always hoped for me to be a nice and perfect wife like her, regardless of whether or not your husband loves you. I felt like I could try to give our relationship a shot to succeed.
Finally, like my maternal grandmother used to do for my grandfather, I will cook a meal for him.
I should attempt to understand him, to be the best wife for him, because perhaps he isn't who he appears to be, and there is another Aaron who is the polar opposite of this jerk Aaron.
I hurriedly took off my oversized top and shorts and stuffed them into my wardrobe.
I wore a cardigan over my white flowery dress.
As I walked away from my room, I observed several other maids at work.
They hailed me as soon as they saw me...
I then proceeded to the kitchen, where I observed Amy slicing cucumber.
I spoke to her, "Hey Amy."
"Did you sleep well, Eternity honey?" she said.
"Yeah." I sighed as I looked around the kitchen; it's the most gorgeous kitchen I've ever seen.
She handed me coffee and said, "Here."
While sipping my coffee, I said, "Thank you, Amy."
Amy inquired, "Dear, what would you want for dinner?"
"Um, Amy," I inquired, "right now I'll cook a meal for Aaron when he gets home."
"Sir always comes home after 11 p.m.," she explained.
"All right, Amy, you can leave," I responded happily. "I'll cook dinner for him."
"All right, but you'll need my aid," she admonished, a sweet smile on her face.
"No, no, don't worry, I'll take care of it. Just tell me where our spices and supplies are, and I'll do the rest "I stated this as I leaned forward on the kitchen island, preparing a fruit salad with mangos, oranges, and bananas.
After that, I ignored Amy and began deciding what he should eat. I had no idea what type of food he liked.
As a result, I decided to cook Macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, Key lime pie, and an Indian sweet called Carrot Halwa for dessert. I know how to prepare Carrot Halwa since my grandmother like Indian food.
I glanced at the clock after finishing the food preparation and garnishing the Carrot Halwa with Dry Fruits.
Aaron is on his way and will arrive at any moment.
I think I should put on some new clothing and head back to my room.
I put on a chiffon flowery dress and simply used lip balm on my lips; the rest of my face was makeupfree.
I untangled my long, wavy dark brown hair, which cascaded down my back like a waterfall.
After that, I exited my room and entered the living room.
I hear the automobile a few minutes later.
It seems like he is returning home.
I took control of the living room's main entrance right away. I noticed some lovely flowers in a vase near the door and pretended to arrange them correctly, despite the fact that they were already in place. I simply want him to notice me.
As he approached, he scrutinised me, but his eyes darkened and a scroll was thrust into his face. When I saw his attitude toward me, my heart sank.
In his Armani suit, he looks stunning, as if he just stepped out of the pages of a magazine.
How can he marry a humble lady like me when he can have whomever he wants by simply switching his fingers?
His gorgeous crystal blue eyes gaze at me with a hard attitude, yet it appears that they have feelings for me someplace deep below. I gave him a kind smile while averting my gaze. I'm having a hard time staring into his lovely eyes.
He simply shrugged his eyes and walked right by me, completely oblivious to my presence.
Seriously, what's the matter with him? Can't he be a bit nicer to me?
I turned around and stared at him as he ascended the stairs to his room; I felt my misery decrease to a dull throb as a result of his perplexity; I felt dampness around my finger. I looked down and realised that I had grabbed a jagged spike of rose so hard that it had cut my finger and blood was pouring out,"'shit'; I had to serve Aaron supper. Soon, he'll be downstairs.
I dashed for first aid equipment and treated my wounded finger, thank goodness the cut was not deep; nevertheless, after cleansing my wound, the blood stopped flowing. My bottom lip jutted out as I sighed.
I should prepare dinner for him and walk towards the kitchen with my feet pointed inwards.
I tap my fingers over the pouring table after adorning the dining table with food.
He appeared a few seconds later, dressed in a navy blue shirt that revealed the contours of his Greek god figure and sweatpants.
At the dinner table, he sat in a head chair.
My shoulders sagged as I hurriedly began serving him the dinner I had prepared for him.
"Where are the maids, and why are you serving?" he said, his head tilted inquisitively.
I dismissed them today because I cooked dinner for you. Should I tell him that I dismissed them, will he be furious with me? If I don't tell him, will he be angry with me? If I don't tell him, will he be angry with me? If I don't tell him, I'll tell him "Um, I dismissed them," I said shyly.
He sternly informed me, "You don't need to cook; maids are here for that."
"Please, at least sample what I cooked for you," I replied, dimples appearing on my cheeks.
He began to eat, and his look transformed to one of joy and satisfaction as he finished my meal. I grinned sheepishly at this.
But his euphoric look was swiftly replaced by a cold and indifferent one.
But it makes me happy that he enjoyed my cooking. I'm sure he'll never compliment me, but I can read his eyes.
After the meal, I served dessert, which was Carrot Halwa, which he recognised as an Indian sweet dish.
"This is Carrot Halwa, an Indian sweet delicacy that I cooked for you," I said, biting my lower lip.
His eyes and face pleased with a pleasant look once more after tasting Carrot Halwa, but he swiftly moved on.
Resuming his austere demeanour.
He rises to go into his study room after we've completed dinner.
I snatched his fist and said, "For you, I will make an effort to be a nice wife. Our marriage can be given a second chance."
As soon as I uttered those words to him, he took a step back to make room; after a minute, I'm not sure, but he gazed at me with an unfamiliar, hard expression before I could recognise his eyes.
He instantly jerked away from his palm, as I will burn him
"Please, put an end to the nonsense.
I know folks like you who are only aware of betrayal and deception you have such a significant paper for my company that even if someone finds out what you are conspiring against me with my competitors, don't you resist acting innocent in front of me?
Once this scam is solved and we find out who was that man who stole my company's data and information, who is behind these, I will leave you forever, this is only a contractual marriage." He tightened his hands and snarled his teeth at me.
My eyes are already wet from his attitude of me, as he can't believe I'm not a gold digger; I don't want him to suffer, but I needed him to be happy.
Why do his words affect me so much? He leaves the dining room, leaving me tearyeyed, and it feels like a hot, sharp knife, covered in salt, slicing through my skin and into my muscles and bones, as if my leg had been frozen and a bolt of lightning had struck my body from head to toe, as though my leg had been frozen and a bolt of lightning had struck my body from head to toe.
I dashed into my room. I sat on the floor, crying my heart out, wondering why he doesn't believe me when I say I didn't betray him. I don't want his hatred; I've always preferred his good. Never will I betray him.
Chapter 8 Preview
Through my room's wide glass window, rays of sunlight splashed across my face. My sluggish eyes slowly opened.
My pulse is beating, and my mind is blank, even though my eyes are open. It's as if an adrenaline hypodermic has been injected into my carotid artery. My respiration rate begins to stabilise as I struggle into the absolute blackness.
I struggled out of bed and made my way to the restroom. When I glanced in the mirror, I saw a mess; my eyes were swollen from sobbing all night.
My skin hasn't changed colour.
Soo, I'm not sure why Aaron's anger so deeply broke my heart.
I've never wished him harm, and I've always favoured him, but I imagine he won't believe me. He'll always regard me as a traitor.
But who was that strange individual who handed me the packet with confidential corporate information that day, and why me?
What relationship does he have with Aaron?
I have a lot of unanswered questions in my head right now. I have no idea what to look for, how to gain Aaron's trust, can we ever live as normal husband and wife, I don't believe so, he despises me so much, but I will not give up on him; I will do all in my power to win his heart and draw the real Aaron, who is nothing like this jerk.
My maternal grandmother used to pack lunch for my maternal grandfather when he went to work. We are from a middleclass family, so it happened there. I'm not sure if Aaron will take a lunch box with him or not, but I will make lunch for him because it's my duty. After all, I am his wife, and I will do everything I can to win his heart and be a good wife for him until the contract ends.
Following that, I rush to the bathroom after changing out of my shower.
I wear a sleeveless red Maxi slip dress with my long dark brown hair open.
I next proceed to Amy's kitchen, where she is preparing pancakes.
"Hello, sweetheart. How did you spend your evening? "she said, pleasantly smiling
"It's fine," I said her as I slouched forward in my chair, remembering his rage and anger from the night before.
While twisting my wedding ring, I said, "Um Amy, did Aaron bring lunch food to the office?"
She said, "No, he doesn't."
"I'll do it from now on. Make and pack lunches for him on a regular basis "slackjawed, I remarked
Her eyes twinkled as she responded, "Really?"
"You've heard about Eternity. Aaron is really fortunate to have you as his wife. I've known him since I was a youngster. His parents died when he was 11 years old, and after their deaths, he became a stone devoid of emotions. He inherited Knight's Empire, his family's business, which was founded by his father, but he was the one who worked so hard to grow it into one of America's largest multinational corporations "She grumbles as she drags her feet to the other side of the room.
"Oh, okay," I reasoned, "that's why he was so upset when the papers fraud happened. His fury was legitimate."
"All right, I'll cook him lunch," I murmured to Amy as I took a knife and began chopping.
"No, sweetie," Amy murmured to me, her brows wrinkled, "you don't need to worry cooking me and other maids are there, you don't need to."
"However, isn't it the wife's responsibility to feed him?" I said, my gaze fixed on her.
"OK, prepare him lunch; he is really fortunate to have a wife like you; I know only you can bring back the real Aaron who went missing," she smiled.
I gave her a friendly nod
After that, I got to work on his lunch. Finally, I packed my homemade lunch once I finished cooking.
Then, when I emerged from the kitchen and entered the living room, I noticed him.
Aaron, he is so stunning in his costly Armani clean suit that I can't take my sight away from him.
He's all prepared to go to work now that he's eaten his breakfast.
Before he could go, I dashed forward and grabbed his hand to stop him.
He gave me a small backward glance as he stared at me.
"Um, here's your lunch," I said, handing him a bag containing his food while looking up at him over my lashes.
He answered, "I don't need it," and stowed my lunch bag away.
"Kindly accept it." "Please," I murmur constantly under my breath, "you'll need it after afternoon."
He gave me a serious look. His crystal blue eyes glowed with an unknown feeling, which he hurriedly wiped away.
I then saw that his tie was not correctly fastened. I tied the tie correctly, and I can feel his gaze on me; he never blinks when he looks at me. I bit my lower lip lightly and felt a quick rush of cold that spread throughout my body.
"Done," I replied as I finished tying his tie, my gaze fixed on him.
"Done," I replied as I finished tying his tie, staring him in the eyes. He was gazing at me, and our gazes were riveted on each other.
I swiftly back away while looking aside, attempting to avoid eye contact with him. I know I have a strong awareness of my heartbeat and the sense of being inundated with warmth.
He turned aside a few seconds later, ready to leave.
But the thing that surprises me is that he stole the lunch bag I packed for him before leaving.
Even though I still have a flush on my cheeks, I grinned sheepishly at this.
I lowered my head. I don't want him to see that I'm blushing.
He began walking towards his vehicle.
My gaze is drawn to a file he is bringing down the stairs.
God, he's losing track of his files.
I grabbed the file and bolted from the home.
Chaflaur is opening the door for him, and he's simply going to sit in the car.
"Aaron," I yelled as I dashed towards his car.
He comes to a halt in the middle of something, his brows wrinkled as he notices me.
"You're forgetting it right here," I told him as I handed him papers, anxiously biting my lower lip.
He snatched them from my possession.
"Thank you," he murmured, widening my eyes.
Is it possible that he just thanked me, or am I hallucinating?
At this, I grinned, brushing a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Welcome," I muttered as I looked about, my heart pounding in my chest.
Then he looked back over his shoulder at me and walked back to his car.
I entered the living room swinging my arms and humming "love me as you do," my favourite song.
He thanked me, and I chuckled as I covered my face with my hands, thinking to myself, "This indicates we've started to understand one other a bit."
I walk towards the Mansion's garden.
I gasped as I gazed onto the most magnificent garden I had ever seen.
It's just stunning.
In the rain, the garden was always a little brighter.
It was as if the sky's gift wasn't water, but liquid magic, cleaning our world to reveal what had always been there, nature in her simple glory.
Buttercups became gold, grass became the shadow of every dreamer's meadow, roots were quenched, and the soil was regenerated.
Following the patter of the rain, bursts of birdsong greeted them, their hearts thrilled at the rain's arrival.
Wow, I thought to myself as I gazed at the lovely flowers.
The rich aroma of the lilies filled the room. Their white petals stood out against the stone walls and were truly stunning. I saw that their stamens had been removed upon closer inspection. A hand reaches out to the beautiful pearly petals.
It's not just lilies.
The crimson velvet flowers move and dance.
Their intoxicating scent entices me to stay.
Its tall, frail green stem stands out in the grass, yet its golden, flowering petals do not.
I sat on fresh green grass, absorbing the pleasant scent.
It's a garden with a lot of scents.
Aaron's mansion features an incredible and lovely garden.
It's stunning.
While I was fixing Aaron's tie today, he happened to see me.
Not only that, but the blush and emotion I had that time when he accepted the lunchbox I packed for him and our eyes met on each other
What is happening to me, what are you doing with me? I never had that feeling while I was with Eliot. Aaron, I don't know why my heart started racing when he only looked at me; even his idea made me flush, but I smiled sheepishly after thinking about him.
While looking up at the blue sky.
Chapter 9 Preview
It's late at night, and I'm missing Aaron utterly. I'm not sure why, God, but I'm missing him so much.
I left feeling sorry for him after today's incident.
I hear a car's echoes. Aaron enters the home a few minutes later. Over the couch, I'm drumming my fingers.
During this, he is removing his tie and unbuttoning his shirt. He gave me a sidelong glance.
I instantly averted my gaze. My cheeks began to flush. I took a few steps back and looked around, but I couldn't seem to keep my gaze on him.
He walks up the stairs and into his room.
After a few moments.
I reached for the dining room and turned to see him approaching. At the table, he sat in a head chair.
After that, Amy and the other maids arrived and began serving our meal.
We're both silent; he doesn't say anything to me.
But I want to talk to him and ask him how his day was, but I know he won't want to talk to me.
I press my lips together, embarrassed to be around him.
He stood to go after dinner, giving me a brief glance.
My phone buzzed as he walked away, and it was my brother Wilber called.
"Hey bro," I murmured.
"So, how's my booboo?" he asked, laughing.
My brother refers to me as "Booboo."
"Ugh, quit up, I'm 9 months older than you," I joked, "you should call me elder sister."
"Well, Grandpa is missing you," he added, "and when he finds out about your marriage, he demands to see you."
"Yeah, I'm missing my grandpa as well," I admitted.
Wilber says to me, "Here, talk to him."
"Eter, my girl, how are you doing?" my grandfather inquired.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I heard his lovely voice.
"Grandpa, I am amazing. how are you doing." I enquired.
"What do you expect, Wilber forbids me from eating sweets, but I want to eat. I don't give a damn about ridiculous blood pressure and sugar levels; instead, I want to enjoy spicy and delicious meals. I don't care what happens to me as long as I get to eat my favourite cuisine." He stated.
"Grandpa Seriously, you're acting like a toddler, which isn't good for your health. At the very least, try not to eat spicy food for a month as your doctor advised, then eat after you know your blood pressure and sugar levels are high." I sighed and said
"No, no, I won't understand any explanation; okay, I'll eat anything I want, and from what I've learnt, you've married; how is your husband doing? what he does to you? Tell me what you think! Did he treat you well? If not, then I'll have to teach him some good lessons. I am a retired police officer." He stated his argument.
My maternal grandfather was, in fact, a former cop. He was feared by everyone when he was younger. His harshness toward lawbreakers is a particularly striking incident.
"No, no, grandpa," I answered roughly twice, "my husband loves me so much, he is such a caring husband, he never mistreats me, he loves me so much."
"Hmm, so I'm missing my girl when you come to see me," he explained.
"I'll ask Aaron about it, and I'll be there shortly to fulfil my willingness," I told him.
I have to ask Aaron about my meeting with my grandfather as I hang off the phone.
Aaron won't let me leave the house since he is a multibillionaire with a slew of rivals and enemies, and after the papers scam, he stated he wants to keep a check on me to make sure I'm not working with his foes. No matter how hard I try to persuade him otherwise, he will never believe me even though I don't know anything, I don't work for the enemy, I didn't betray him, and I have no idea who that hooded man was who handed me the letter that day.
I made Aaron's favourite coffee for him; I'm not sure how he'll react when I give him coffee, but I can try to give our marriage a chance, and I'll also talk to him about seeing my grandfather.
I approach his study room after making his coffee. I open the door and walk into his study.
I was observing him as he sat in a chair, raving loudly at someone. He was completely unaware that I had already entered his study room.
"Yes, now finish that method of handing over all the stakes of RESOURCES AND LIMITED COOPERATION to me," Aaron growled at the phone. "It's my father's other company, but he set up a condition prior to his death that it will be passed to me only once I am married, so now that I am married, make sure passing all the proportions carefully to me I want it at any cost is that clear to you Ryan?"
So, the real reason he marries me is because he wants the company of his father.
Then he hangs up the phone and slams it against the wall so hard that his phone screen shatters into a million pieces right in front of my eyes. Then Aaron became aware of my presence. His gaze was drawn to mine.
His enraged eyes paused at me as he scrutinized me.
"What the hell are you doing here?" he yells, and I recoil from his shrill tone.
"I, uh... I had been j... I've just come to give you some coffee." I took a breath and swallowed.
He approaches me and laughs coldly at me, "oh, you came here to offer me a coffee," he says sarcastically, as he takes the coffee mug I prepared for him and leaves it on the table. It shatters into sharp pieces. I cringed and drew my eyes closed; I despise the sound of glass echo because it makes me nauseous.
I opened my eyes and looked at him; he was staring at me with a ferocious anger in his eyes. I bit the inside of my lower lip.
"Listen, drop this drama, I know people like you who don't know anything but betrayal, you're nothing to me except the girl I'm using for my benefit, you're a backstabber, that's why you're involved in that information leak scam right, who knows what you're planning against my company with my enemies, aren't you working with them?" he hissed angrily at me. I saw utter hatred in his eyes when I peered into them.
"Why will I work for them?" I asked, squinting and fisted my hands. I don't know why he didn't believe me; I'm not engaged in this mess, but he'll never trust me.
"You know what, I'm not going to explain anything to you right now because I know you'll never believe me no matter how hard I try," I yelled violently at him.
I gasped and winced as a sharp pain passed through my back and his firm grip on my arm slammed me against the wall; I gasped and winced as a sharp pain passed through my back and his tight grip on my arm.
"How dare you raise your voice at me, don't do it again, because if you do, I'll do something you can't possibly conceive. You have no idea what I'm capable of, and you have no clue what I'm capable of doing to you "He gave me a sneer.
He yelled, "Now get out."
I began walking out of his study, a sharp Stab into my leg skin, but I didn't mind. I proceed and exit his study and enter my bedroom; I am in pain and fall to the floor of my room. My eyes are still welling up with tears. The agony I'm experiencing is a heartache rather than a physical aching.
I can't stand how he never believes me and how much he loathes me. I'm not sure why, but it hurts like hell that he has such an impact on me.
It's as if there's nothing there. A gloomy emptiness. A neverending dark void that eats everything, leaving you with no sensations. Empty. Nothing can quell the emptiness of your hollow spirit, which lurks in the shadows, away from any other human life because it can't stand to pretend that everything is well.
My vision began to blur soon after. When my stomach gave up, I knew I was about to pass out. My innards felt like they were being replaced by a dark hole. The nausea then spread from my stomach to my brain. The floor beneath my feet was soft, not as soft as a hard carpet, but not as soft as oak planks. My vision became blurry, but not because tears were welling up in my eyes. Everything became hazy, and then I couldn't see anything at all. My body's feeling went away till everything was black.
