Her POV

I slowly opened my eyes and faintly saw a pair of silver eyes peering into mine..

My vision is blur,i couldn't see clearly.

I forced myself to lie still and tried to piece together exactly what the hell was going on...

My whole body was cramping with pain. I closed my eyes hoping to be relieved of the pain but NO it increased drastically.

"Hey how are you doing?" A cool voice asked and all i can do is just give a small nod which had my neck aching.

"What's your name?" The same voice asked again..

'my name?' I thought. My lips quivered, feeling way too heavy to mutter a word but 'my name? what's my name?' I thought..

'Where am i?'

'How did i get in here?'

My vision is being blur plus the terrible pain i'm feeling now mostly from my head..

"Hey are you hearing me? You okay?" I heard the same voice again..

I nodded not able to talk..I tightened my eyes and reopened it, hoping it will clear my blurry vision.

It worked.

The first thing i saw clearly was the most handsome guy i've ever seen..

I've ever seen ?...I can't even remember seeing any other guy apart from this one in front of me so i don't know if he's the most handsome but damn ! this guy is more than handsome.

His eyes are pure silver,so clear that i'd swear they would reflect my image perfectly if i got closer enough, his black hair is in a slight wave long enough to his shoulder, his high cheekbones and jaw seems perfect and his lips...Oh..my..

gosh !!

I swallowed hard...

He shifted beside me on the bed and i jolted from my infatuations.

"Wh..o a..re y..ou?" I managed to stutter but regretted it immediately as i felt a sharp pain ripping my head apart

I let out a cry.

"Hey are you okay?" The guy asked and i gave a little nod without keeping my eyes off him..

"It seems you are having difficulty in talking but there is nothing to worry about ,i'm gonna tell you everything ok?" He said in a reassuring manner.

I nodded and made to sit up but then noticed i wasn't putting on a thing under the blanket.

I stared at him,my eyes widely opened.

Did he...

"Did you got me unclad?!" I asked.

"My sis did" He said and i signed in relief but..

'His sis?..he has a sister,well..i'm glad he wasn't the one who got me unclad'

"She went to get you some clothes,she will be back soon. I think i should get you some coffee,it might help in clearing your throat. I will be back" He said before walking towards the door, i stared at his back till he left...

He doesn't only look handsome,he also has a great and masculine body.

I kept staring into space till i heard footsteps back in the room..I saw him walk to the bed with a cup of steaming coffee in hand.

"Here" He said stretching the cup of coffee to me,i stretched my hand to collect it but my hands felt weak,it trembled ,he quickly dropped the coffee on the bedside table and helped me sit up while i pulled the blanket with me.

"Thanks" I said.

My back is now resting on the bed's headboard,i collected the coffee and gulped it down enjoying the feel of the warm liquid against my sore throat.

I dropped the empty cup on the bedside table and muttered a "thank you"..

I felt a little better,the coffee seems like medication,it relieved me of some pain.. but i want to pee badly.

I cleared my throat and stared at him.

"Hmm..I'm feeling pressed can i use the restroom please" I said..

"Of course that way" He said pointing to a small door at the back of the fire place..

"Thanks"

I was about standing up when i realised i can't walk naked into the restroom,not in his presence..

Gosh !!

"Can you please turn around?" I asked a bit embarrassed..

"Ohh..No problem" He said and turned..

I clutched the blanket to my breast and let it trail behind me. I staggered towards the direction of the restroom,my legs started feeling numb,same goes to the hand i was using to clutch the blanket..

"Are you okay ?" The guy asked still facing the other side.

"Arr..I'm okay" I said but i'm definitely not ! i took few more steps before tripping,the blanket slipped away from my body and my eyes widened as i saw the guy's neck turning.

"Don't turn" I shouted but it was too late. He had turned.

Dammit !!

Miguel's POV

Fleur will be glad the lady is awake,she has been unconscious since yesterday when Fleur and i found her outside.

We thought she was dead but fleur checked her pulse and realised she's still breathing.

"We have to save her" Fleur had said and we both carried her inside the house,fleur's room to be precise.

We took logs of wood from the store and lit the fireplace to keep her warm.

Fleur slept beside her till daybreak until she had to go out and get some clothes for her. It's obvious they aren't wearing the same size,the lady has more flesh in the right places.

Silly me..i know right.

I sat beside her after Fleur left and was almost lost staring at her.. She's beautiful even in her unconscious state.

It took some hours before she finally opened her eyes and i saw the most beautiful black eyes shining brightly.

It seems she's in pain.

"Hey are you okay" I asked and she nodded.. She managed to talk but her words weren't coming out fine..So i just had to explain things to her.

I had almost laughed when she asked if i was the one who got her unclad..I mean her voice was stern when she said that.

I'm glad the coffee i brewed for her cleared her throat, her english accent is very fluent and her voice sounds perfect, like a musician's.

All thanks to my coffee though.

I pointed to the bathroom when she asked of it,she told me to turn and i did..She needs her damn privacy.

I heard a loud bang and worried she might have hurt herself,i turned.

"Don't turn" I heard her say but it was too late cause i had.

And i saw... everything..I mean everything underneath the blanket

Argh !!

Her POV

"Oh my God" I said feeling embarrassed,i quickly pick up the blanket wrapping it around my body even if its of no use anymore, he already saw everything.

I felt badly embarrassed..

"I'm so sorry,i thought you were hurt and needed help,that was the reason i had turned,i didn't know the blanket had slipped away from your body" He said and i saw sincerity in his cute eyes.

"It's okay" I said and walked back to the bed sitting on it. The damn pee that made all this happened has flew away...Gosh ! this guy saw the whole thing.

"I'm so sorry" He apologised again and i nodded.

We heard the door open and a pretty young lady came in carrying two full shopping bags.

Her hair is black and shiny,styled in a bob,her eyes are big and brown,her nose is just perfect like this guy's, her lips is small and pink.. She's beautiful plus she has an amazing figure.

She must be his sis.

"Oh my God, you are awake" She said walking towards me..how are you feeling now ?" She asked.

"Better" I replied slowly.

"I brewed some coffee for her and i think it helped a bit" The guy said and the lady nodded winking at him.

"Okay what's your name ?" She asked.

"My name" I said.

"Yes your name" She said.

"my name? i don't know my name" I said.

"You mean you don't know your name ?" She asked.

"Yes i don't remember my name" I said trying hard to remember but i couldn't and instead the headache increased.

"Wow ! She exclaimed "Where did you come from? " She asked.

"I don't know,i can't remember that either " I said.

"Really ?" She asked.

"Yes, i can't remember anything before now, what's happening to me ?" I asked worriedly.

They both glanced at eachother.

The more i'm trying to remember,the more the headache increases.

"Mig she's got Amnesia" She told her brother with a sad expression.

"Amnesia !" Mig exclaimed.

"Amnesia ?" I thought within.

"Yes your memory has been lost,you won't be able to remember anything from the past for some period of time" She said and my heart dropped.

"That's pretty bad" Mig sighed.

"Yes it is. And also we didn't find any means of identification on you" The lady said.

I tried holding back the tears that was threatening to flow out but i couldn't,it rolled down to my cheeks...continuously.

Why can't i remember a thing?

What if my family are out there,worried about me.

Do i even have a family?

"Hey it's okay,you don't need to cry" The lady said cleaning my tears with her thumb.

"I can't remember anything not even my own name,for how long will this continue,where will i even stay till then. How am i gonna survive" I said in tears.

They both looked at me with pity and i cried more,my head throbbing terribly.

"No you don't have to pity me,i will find my way" I said even if there is no way i could find.

"No..you will stay here with us for the mean time till you regain your memory" She said and i looked up with surprise..

"Yes you can stay here with us okay?" Mig said.

"You mean you will both accommodate me without even knowing where i come from ?" I asked with surprise.

"Ofcourse, we cant leave you to go out to the streets" She said.

"Thanks so much" I said with excitement..."Thank you, thank you" I said with a smile..

"You are welcome" They both said smiling back at me.

"Don't force yourself to remember anything cos it's gonna make your head throb with pain,just be free and the memories will come steadily ok?" Fleur said and i nodded.

"So...Let's start the introduction ; I'm fleur and this is Miguel my elder brother,we stay in this house alone,i'm a nurse and i work in the hospital not so far from here,Miguel takes care of the horses in the stable and also goes to work once in a while..He's lazy yunno" She teased and i chuckled..Mig shot her a playful glare and she laughed.

"Thanks Fleur,thanks mig" I said and they both nodded..

"You will get to know more about us as time goes on" Mig said.

"Now you need to take a warm bath and also eat a hot meal,i bought some soup ingredient along with clothes for you,so while you have your bath,i will be in the kitchen preparing the soup" Fleur said with a smile.

"Thanks Fleur" I said.

"Ok but first i need to change your bandage,it's soaked" She said.

"Bandage ?" I asked and scan my body but couldn't find any bandage.

"Yes you have a deep cut on your head and i'm afraid it will take long to heal" She said and i gasp.

I touched my head and truly,there is a bandage,i now realise why my head aches badly..I exhaled.

"My bad" Fleur said.."we have to give you a name"

"Do you like Elva ?" She asked.

"No Diana is better" Mig said.

"No Elva sounds more cool" Fleur said.

"No it's Diana"

"No it's Elva"

" Diana is better"

" Elva is more better"

"she's gonna be called Diana"

"She's gonna be called Elva"....

They kept arguing and i couldn't help but smile.

"Okay let her choose herself" Fleur said and they both faced me,my heart skipped a beat.

I don't want to offend Mig neither Fleur, but i think i like Elva better.

"Hmm..I like Elva more" I found myself saying giving Mig an apologetic look..Fleur squealed around and stuck out her tongue at Mig..Mig shrugged.

"I'm not surprised she like the name you offered because you are both females " Mig said and i'm glad he isn't offended.

"Okay Elva you will be called then" Fleur said and we both smiled..She walked to a drawer,opened it and brought out a white square box,i saw FIRST AID BOX inscribed on it,she walked back to the bed, placed the box on the bedside table.

"I will leave you both to it,i have some laundry to do" Mig said.

"Okay bro" Fleur said opening the first aid box..Mig walked out.

She wore her gloves before loosening the bandage on my head,she folded it neatly and placed it on a transparent board,it's soaked with blood.

She brought out an antiseptic followed by cotton wool.

She took some cotton wool and used it to clean the sides of the wound,she disposed the stained wool and took a new one,she applied some antiseptic on it,then placed it on the wound.

I winced in pain..."Sorry Elva" Fleur said and i nodded.

She rolled out a clean bandage and placed it round my head severally before clipping it.

I sigh in relief after she's done "Thanks fleur" I said and she nodded.

She packed her tools back into the first aid box before locking it firmly,she took it back to the drawer and walked back to me.

She dropped the used bandage and cotton wool into a disposable nylon.

"Now have this" She said stretching two shopping bags filled with clothes to me..."Have your bath,dress up then you come to the dining" She said.

"Thanks so much fleur" I said collecting the bags from her.

"It's nothing,i will give you your medications after lunch" She said and i nodded.

"Ok then,i will be in the kitchen and there are two shower caps on the bathroom cabinet,you can use the pink cos it's new,make sure you use it to cover your hair completely so the bandage won't get wet" Fleur said.

"Ok fleur thanks " I said and she nodded walking out of the room.

I poured the content of the bags on the bed and a 'wow' escaped my lips..There are dozens of clothes with underwear and they all looked beautiful.

I checked it out and settled for a black Tshirt with a pair of blue jean,a purple and black underwear.

I removed the blanket from my body and hurried naked to the bathroom with the clothes in hand.

I finished bathing and my body felt more strong and better,i dried my body with the towel i found on the bathroom cabinet,wore the undies before slipping on the Tshirt and jean. The jean fitted me perfectly but the Tshirt is a bit loose,i like it that way.

I removed the shower cap and my hair flowed down to my waist..

Woah..i have a very long hair. I carefully brushed through it with my fingers to avoid touching the bandage.

I'm done.

I walked out of the room and entered a short passage,there are four doors and i wonder which door leads to the living room..I stood there deliberating..

"Open the left door" I heard behind me and flinched. I turned around to see Mig.

"Sorry i startled you" He said.

"It's okay" I said staring at him.

"This left door leads to the living room,dining,kitchen and a lot more. This right door leads to my room while the two other doors are the guest rooms" He explained and i nodded. He entered his room and i opened the left door and there is the living room,i walked inside.

It's not very big but it's beautiful, neatly painted in cream and orange ,there are four beautiful couch and the floor is covered in floorboards,there is a big fire place opposite a threeseater couch,a wooden table is placed at the centre of the living room with a beautiful flower vase on it.

An enormous television stationed across the leather recliner,with a mediumsized shelf filled with films.

So simple and beautiful. I like it.

"Elva over here" I heard fleur call and i turned to see a transparent curtain demarcating the living room from the dining room, i walked towards it and open the curtain,a delicious aroma filled my nostrils..I'm standing in the dining room which has six chairs and a centre table covered in a floral tablecloth..I looked across and there is the kitchen,fleur is coming out with three bowls of steaming homemade soup in a tray,she smiled as she saw me and i smiled back...

She placed the bowls of soup on the table,i saw some other things on the table to eat with the soup

i felt my stomach rumble and my throat tingle.

"Have your sit Elva,and besides you look good" Fleur said and i sat smiling.

"Thanks" I said.

"Mig,lunch is ready" Fleur called loudly and i heard heavy footsteps coming towards the dining room,the curtain opened and Mig came in,he took a sit opposite mine while fleur sat beside me..

We started eating in silence and i kept wondering if i'm making them uncomfortable..I mean it seems weird to suddenly have a new person in the house..

Anyway the soup is delicious and i can't help but rush it..

We finished eating,and i said 'thanks' to them..Mig nodded ,stood up and left the dining..Fleur stood up and started packing the empty and uncleaned dishes, she's going to wash it,i can't let her do that..I have to help.

"I will wash the dishes" I said, wanting to collect it from her but she didn't give it to me..

"No Elva,just go sit at the living room,i will come join you soon" She said and i shook my head.

"Just leave the dishes to me,i will wash it" I said.

"No you are not very strong for this" She said.

"No i feel strong,please just allow me wash the dishes" I said...But it doesn't seem she's going to give in..."Just to exercise my numb bones" I added and she sighed..

"You sure know how to persist" She said and i smiled.

"Ok" She said and my smile widened.."But" She added.

"What ?" I asked.

"I'm not going to let you wash the dishes alone,we are washing it together" She said.

"Ok fleur" I said and collected the unclean dishes from her,i headed to the kitchen.

She packed the remaining ones and came to join me..

The kitchen as well as other part of the house also is wide and beautiful.

We finished washing the dishes and dried our hands on a clean kitchen towel.

"Come with me,let me show you round the house" Fleur said and i nodded following her.

I feel happy that i got a beautiful place to call home and also with the nicest people I've ever met.

Well..i don't know if they are the nicest people I've ever met..since i can't even remember anything or anyone.

Well...I owe them a lot...

Mig's POV

I sat on the couch in the living room after lunch, Fleur is outside with Elva showing her round the house.

My mind flew back to when i saw her unclad...I cant seem to get the image off my mind..Her body is thick and beautiful with alluring curves.

I kept stealing glances at her while we were eating lunch, her boobs pushed against the Tshirt.

Even the jeans fits her like second skin.

Her shape is just overwhelming..

Of course he should stop this ! She's a stranger for goodness sake. but he couldn't just stop thinking about it.

I slapped the remote control on my head and kept mumbling.

"Mig" I heard Fleur call interrupting my thoughts. I turned and saw Fleur and Elva standing behind me...

"Elva wants to borrow your favourite novel,She read the summary in the library and said she will like to read the entire novel so i brought her here to ask for your permission..Can she take it?" Fleur asked..

That's my favourite novel but i have no choice here not when Elva is using those cute eyes to plead with me..

"Please bro,i know it's your favourite but just borrow her for some days" Fleur said and i nodded..

Elva shifted behind her and i wondered if she's shy to ask me herself.

"Ok but please make sure it doesn't get torn" I said and a smile lit up on her face.

"Thanks Mig" Elva said.

"You are welcome and trust me you are gonna enjoy it" I said and her smile widened.

"Come Elva, i have to show you to your room before i leave for work" Fleur said.

"That..room..i was..in.." Elva mumbled.

"Oh..That's my room,i just thought you may like your privacy,that was why i decided to give you another room but we can stay together in mine if you want" Fleur said.

"No its okay,i will stay in the other room you've prepared for me" Elva said.."But the clothes are still in your room" She added.

"Okay let's go pack the clothes to your room" Fleur said and they both walked away..Fleur is leading the way while Elva is at the back,i kept staring at her back till they cornered into the passage.

"Mig get a grip of yourself" I mumbled slapping the remote control on my head..

"Ouch...It hurts".

Elva's POV

I laid on the soft bed in my new room after Fleur had shown me round the house.

She has left for work,saying she's on afternoon shift.

My room is as big as fleur's,it has a onesitter couch beside a little shelf,there is a fireplace opposite the bed and also a bedside table with a table lamp on it,the floor is covered in floorboards,virtually all the floors in the house are covered in floorboards..

I've checked the bathroom and it looks just fine.

This house is big,i kept staring in surprise when Fleur was showing me around..It's big and beautiful with clean surroundings,she showed me the stable and i saw their two horses,she also showed me the farmhouse.

But what interested me most is the Library,there are tons of novels in there and i had this urge to read them all.

Do i read novels before ? i asked myself but how would i know.

The first novel that caught my fantasy was Mig's favorite novel..The summary really gat me and i yearn to read it..

I stared at it in my hand and smiled,i'm glad he agreed to give me.

I positioned the pillow comfortably beneath my head and began reading.

"Oh my God..to hell with Nicky,for embarrassing Elara on her first day in school,this seems more interesting than i thought..

I heard a knock on the door and stood up from the bed,i slipped my feet into the bunny slippers Fleur gave me and walked to the door.

I opened it and saw Mig standing there.

"Hmm..I was thinking if you will like to watch a movie with me" He said..

Ohhh...I badly want to continue reading the novel but i can't turn him down not when he's been nice.

"Ok i would love to" I said and he smiled..I closed the door and followed him to the living room..

I saw some biscuits in a wide plate with two cups of chilled orange juice,i sat on the couch while he went to switch on the tv and insert the disk into the DvD player..

"It's a Kdrama,i purchased it when i went to the city" He said walking back to me,he sat on the couch beside me.

"City ?" I asked

"Yes we are in the countryside of Australia,Fraser island to be precise " He said.

"Ohhh" I said.

"Countryside is a beautiful place to live,the only disadvantage is power supply,the power is supplied once in a while but with the fresh air including the fresh and natural things you will see around,you won't even notice there is no power supply" Mig said..

"Really ?" I asked.

"Ofcourse" He said.

'Where do i also stay before..Is it in the countryside or city' I thought but couldn't remember.

'Gosh why can't i just remember a thing' I thought furiously..

"I believe the floor is the best place to sit or lay while watching a movie,so should we ?" Mig asked.

"Ofcourse" I said and we both slid to the floor and began watching the movie,crunching the biscuit and sipping the juice.

"I'm home" We heard and turned to the door.

It's Fleur holding two full big Nylons.

"Welcome Fleur" I said standing up to meet her.

"Welcome sis" Mig said.

"Thanks guys" Fleur said.

"Elva come with me,i need to show you some things" Fleur said.

"Mig can you please pause the movie,i will be right back" I said.

"Okay" He said.

"Thank you" I said and followed Fleur to her room..

We entered her room and she handed a nylon bag to me..

"Fleur the clothes you bought for me is okay for now" I said feeling like a burden already.

"No, Elva. I should have bought you more in the morning if i know you will be staying here,just accept it okay? you really need it" She said and i collected the nylon bag from her.

"Thanks so much fleur" I said.

"It's nothing" She said.."And take this" She said stretching a smaller nylon bag to me, i collected it with a "thanks"..

"It contains some sanitary pads,i hope you didn't forget how to use it?" She asked..

"No thanks so much fleur" I said.

"It's okay,if you need anything just let me know ok" She said and i nodded,i couldn't resist the urge to pull her into a hug.

Is this how nice people are?

How can these people be so nice to a stranger they overnight..

Fleur is nice and caring,the perfect definition of a nurse..

I hugged her and sobbed quietly on her shoulder.

"It's okay Elva,i understand...Don't cry okay" Fleur said and i nodded pulling away from the hug.

"Thanks so much fleur" I said.

"It's nothing..Now go meet Mig,you are keeping him waiting" She said and i nodded,thanked her once more before leaving her room.

I walked inside my room,dropped the clothes in the cupboard,the sanitary pads in the shelf before hurrying back to meet Mig.

I entered the living room and met him patiently waiting.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting Mig" I said sitting on the floor beside him.

"It's fine" He smiled and we resumed watching.

But my mind kept drifting to the novel i was reading,i can't wait to finish watching this movie..I need to go and read what Nicky did to Elara at the cafeteria.

We finished watching the movie and i said thanks to Mig,i stood up about going to continue the novel when i heard sounds from the kitchen.

"Is someone in the kitchen ?" I asked Mig.

"Yes it's Fleur,she's about preparing dinner" He said..

"Wow i didn't know it's evening already" I said and went to join Fleur in the kitchen..

We finished eating dinner,Fleur and i washed the dishes and we all sat in the living room and watched another Kdrama for a couple of hours.

I started yawning and was already half asleep on the couch when Fleur woke me up to go to my room.

We exchanged 'goodnights'

......

I landed on my bed immediately i entered my room and fell into a dreamless sleep..

Fleur's POV

I yawned opening my eyes at the sound of the alarm,i slipped the blanket away from my body and sat up. I switched off the alarm,got to my feet and wore my flipflop before heading to the bathroom.

I'm on morning shift,i have to get to work before 9am,i got to the bathroom,pulled off my pyjamas and placed it on the sink,i have to get pyjamas for Elva soon" I thought putting on my shower cap,i got under the shower with sponge and soap in hand.

I took a towel from the cabinet after i was done bathing and tied it firmly around my body.

'Plus a towel for Elva' I thought.

I walked over to the sink to brush my teeth...I finished brushing and hurried back to my the room,i opened the wardrobe and brought out a cream armless gown with a belt,i opened the drawer and selected my undies and then walked back to the bed,i laid the clothes on the bed,dried my body and applied body lotion.

I started getting dressed and in few minutes,i was done.

I picked a pair of black shoes and quickly slide my feet into it.

I brushed my hair and applied hair lotion, carried a black shoulder bag,adjusted my dress once more before walking out of my room.

I knocked on Elva's door but there was no response,i knocked severally..no response.

'Or could she be in the living room' I thought.

I peeped inside her room and saw her on the bed still asleep with a novel on her chest. I walked in heading towards her. She's still in her yesterday's outfit..I gotta get her a pyjamas today.

I wouldn't have liked to disturb her but i have to tell her something.

I tapped her shoulder twice and i saw her lashes bat. She's opening her eyes.

Elva's POV

I opened my eyes at the taps on my shoulder.

Yawns

It's Fleur..she's dressed for work.

"Good morning Fleur" I greeted,sitting up.

"Morning Elva,hope you slept well ?" She asked.

"Yes Fleur, thanks" I said.

"I didn't wish to disturb you but i just want to tell you that you can microwave yesterday's leftover cause i'm running late now,i won't be able to make breakfast" She said.

"Okay i will" I said

"Bye i will be back by afternoon" She said walking towards the door.

"Bye" I said.

"Arrrgh" I groaned and fell back to the bed,i felt like having more sleep but it's damn morning.

I got up from the bed and walked to the cupboard,i opened it and a blue blouse with a pair of black shorts caught my eyes,i picked it out. I selected my underwear and walked to the bathroom...

I pulled off the cloth i was wearing and set it aside for laundry,i wore the pink shower cap and got under the shower..

I brushed my teeth and then got dressed right there in the bathroom...I don't know if fleur took my measurement cos the clothe seems perfect on my body like it was made specially for me..

I walked out of my room and headed to the kitchen.

I brought out yesterday's leftover from the fridge,plugged the microwave and slipped in the meal closing it back immediately.

I rested my back on the kitchen counter with my hands folded beneath my breast waiting for the meal to heat up.

I wonder where Mig is

'Should i ask if he wants some ?'..

"I better do" I said and walked out of the kitchen heading to Mig's room,i got there and knocked gently,i was about knocking again when the door opened revealing Mig,his hair looked messy,he was still in his pyjamas...

His appearance didn't even hinder the perfection of his look.

I felt my cheeks heat up as we stared at eachother..I don't know the reason i'm always shy to speak to him.

"Good morning and i'm sorry for disturbing you,the thing is..i'm microwaving the leftover so i came to ask if you care for some" I said.

"Ohh..Sure,i will join you soon" He said and i nodded walking away.

I breathed a sigh of relief as i entered the kitchen.

I switched off the microwave and brought out out the now 'hot meal'..I dished it out in two plates and carried it to the dining room,i went back to the kitchen to get two bottles of water including two glass cups..

I sat down deliberating if to wait for him or not,i decided to wait for few more minutes then if he doesn't show up, i'm gonna start eating..

I perceived the scent of shampoo followed by the sound of footsteps,it got louder and bolder as he approached the dining..I know it's Mig without even turning.

He sat opposite me and.. damn!

He looks hot !!

He's putting on a black sweater with grey pants,he looks fresh and clean from bathing and his thick black hair was dripping wet..He licked his lips and i almost shiver.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting" He said and i nodded swallowing hard.

We ate in a strained silence...I was getting uncomfortable with different thoughts running through my mind.

I stood up immediately i scooped the last spoon into my mouth, walk to the kitchen and placed my plate it the sink,i started washing with more effort than i'll normally apply.

I washed and rinsed my plate then placed it in the drainboard,i dried my hands and walked out of the kitchen..

"I will be in my room" I said to Mig at the dining and he replied with a nod.

I felt his gaze on my back as i walked to my room..I opened the door and closed it gently behind me.

I walked to the bed, sat and picked up the novel on the bedside table..

I opened it to the page i stopped, smiled and continued reading..

Mig's POV

Arrrrgh !!

Why does she have to be damn attractive..I mean she's exactly my type, i like ladies who gat more flesh..She's beautiful with nice curves and i found myself staring at her while we were having breakfast, her deep black eyes glistened,her lips looked more pink than it was yesterday,her face is starting to regain it's color.

Her black hair had a gloss to it even without applying hair lotion...and her hair is so long that it spreads on her shoulder down to her waist..

I was about starting up a conversation with her when she stood up went to the kitchen..She left the kitchen and walked back to her room.

And my gaze had of course rested on her back as she walked away..

"Oh..God,get a grip of yourself" I scolded..She's just a stranger who would leave as soon as she regains her memory.

I stood up from the chair, i have to go feed the horses..I took some carrots from the store and got a bucket of clean water then walked to the stable.

I got there and opened the little door,i dropped the carrots and water on one side and i smiled walking towards the horses.

We have two horse in the stable,clea and con which belongs to Fleur and i..Clea is mine while Con is Fleur's.

I rubbed their backs as i got to them and they neighed at me in recognition.

I picked the carrots and started feeding them ,they both chewed on it very fast and i kept feeding them more till there was nothing left...

I placed the bucket of clean water in front of them and they both dipped their mouths into it.

I was about rubbing clea's back when i suddenly heard a loud bang followed by a shout of pain from the house..

"OMG that's Elva,i hope she isn't hurt" I thought, rushing back into the house.

Elva's POV

My throat is getting dry so i got up from the bed and walked out of my room with the novel in hand,i want to go get a glass cup of water from the kitchen,i was reading the novel while walking to the kitchen..

I wasn't even aware there was a stool in front of me,i tripped falling loudly to the floor,i gripped my hand on the table to steady me but the table tumbled on top of me with a loud bang,the flower vase hitting my head..I screamed out in pain...

I pushed the table off me and i felt a sharp object piercing my ankle, i cried out as i saw my ankle bleeding with a deep cut and the worst part of everything..the novel is torn..

His favourite novel !!

I should have just kept it in the room but i was engrossed in it,it was the cause of my fall cause i was readwalking and didn't even notice the stool in front of me and now his novel is torn.

He had warned me not to allow it get torn.

He's so gonna be pissed at me..Arrrrgh.

I heard footsteps and quickly hid the novel in my back..The door opened and Mig rushed in.

My heart beat faster as he walked closer to me.

"OMG you are bleeding,what happened ?" He asked worriedly, crouching in front of me.

"I wanted to get a glass cup of water from the kitchen,i didn't notice the stool in front of me so i tripped over it and fell..sorry for making you worried,you can go resume what you were doing,i'm okay" I said staring at his worried face.

'Oh...God...His novel' I thought in fear.

"No you aren't okay,your bandage is soaked in blood and you also have a deep cut on your ankle..I have to call Fleur" He said worriedly,he stoop up walking towards the telephone placed on a shelf.

"No don't call her,i'm okay..She might be busy" I said but he ignored me punching some numbers into the telephone.

If only he knew his novel is torn,he will kick me hard rather than calling Fleur to my aid.

"Hey Fleur" He said into the receiver..Elva is badly hurt "

...

"Ok be quick,i will take her to her room" He said before dropping the call..He walked back to me .

"Sorry,i know the pain is probably unbearable" He said and stretched his hand to me wanting me to take it but i can't cause i was still holding the torn novel tightly behind my back.

"Is your hand hurting also ?" He asked and i quickly nodded.

"Oh..Sorry let me see it" He said ..I shook my head,my fears increased..He may not take it lightly.

"Hm" He sighed.."Let me carry you to your room then" He said and my eyes widened...God !! He's really getting close to carry me..He's gonna see his torn novel and yell at me.

"No" I said afraid...Bringing up my hand to disagree,i didn't realise that was the hand i was using to hold the novel, it spilled out and i felt my body vibrate,he took a long surprised look at it then buried his face in his palms,his hands pushing through his soft hair.

He's pissed at me !!

"I'm sorry..I promise to get another copy for you,please i'm so sorry,it wasn't intentional,it got torn when i tripped over the stool..Am so sorry" I said feeling bad,wishing he would just look up at me.

He did and it was with a smile.

What!

He smiled!

He isn't pissed at me!

He chuckled and said "Was that the reason you didn't want me to take your hand"

"Yes" I said surprised at his cool tone...I mean i just tore his novel..He's supposed to get mad!

" Ofcourse I'm not pissed at you,it wasn't intentional,i can always get another copy from the bookstore,you don't have to feel bad about it okay" He said and i nodded, glad he didn't yell or get pissed at me.

"Thanks Mig" I said.

"So can you take my hand now?" He asked and i nodded,he stretched his hand forward and i took it.

He pulled me up..

I yelped

I had sprained my ankle during the fall.

"Sorry Elva" He said and i nodded.

He crossed his arm round my shoulder using it to support my body,my hand was at my back.

Sharp pain tore though my ankle at every step i took and i kept panting.

Mig suddenly carried me in his arms and i almost gasped .

He carried me like i weigh nothing,he didn't even show any discomfort but smiled instead.

"I thought it will be easier and faster this way" He said grinning and i smiled, i didnt know how i ended up resting my head comfortably on his chest and closing my eyes..

His broad chest is far more comfortable than a pillow,i felt warm and safe in his hands..All my pains gone.

I didn't know he had gotten to my door until he used his leg to kick it open and walked inside towards my bed.

"Oh..noo i don't want to be released from his arms,i want to stay there forever" I said inwardly..

Huh!

I felt him lowered me into the bed and i opened my eyes,the warmth and comfort is gone..The pains have returned..He sat beside me and took my hand in his,i felt good but not as good as i felt when i was in his arms.

It's better than nothing though..

The door opened and we saw fleur rushed in.

"What happened?" She asked worriedly dropping her shoulder bag on the bed.

"She tripped over the stool and fell" Mig said.

"Ohhh...Sorry Elva" Fleur said.

"Thanks Fleur".

"Mig can you please get me the first Aid box in my room,i have to change this soaked bandage and also apply some antiseptic on her ankle injury" Fleur said and Mig stood up to go get it.

"Sorry for making you worried and interrupting your work" I said to Fleur.

"No it's okay" She said.

Mig returned with the first aid box,fleur took it snapped it open and wore her gloves,then she loosened the bandage and placed it in a disposable nylon...She cleaned off the

blood on my head and ankle with cotton wool before applying antiseptic,i winced at the stinging pain.

She rolled out clean bandage and wrapped it round my head severally before clipping it.

She cut out a new cotton wool,placed it on my ankle,and brought out a bandaid,she placed it on the wound.

"You won't be able to walk fine for some days" She said..She dropped the blood stained things in a disposable nylon before removing her gloves.

She took a pack of medication from the first Aid box then poured some brightly coloured pills in a small saucer.

"Mig please a glass cup of water" Fleur said ..Mig walked out of the room to get it.

He returned with the water and Fleur handed the pills to me with water.

"It will make you sleep and relieve your pains before you wake up" Fleur said and i nodded..

I dropped the pills on my tongue and washed it down with water.

Fleur pumped the pillow behind my head making sure i'm comfortable.

"Thanks" I said.

And in few minutes,i was starting to feel sleepy,the medication works real fast.

"Mig let's leave her to sleep,i have some things to discuss with you" That was the last thing i heard before falling into a deep slumber.

Mig's POV

"Mig let's leave her to sleep,i have some things to discuss with you" Fleur said, walking out of Elva's room.

I took a last glance at the sleeping Elva and smiled,she had felt so small and warm in my arms,i walked out of the room,closing the door gently.

I walked to the living room and met Fleur sitting on a couch.

I jumped beside her and she flinched sending me a glare,i chuckled and stretched out my legs.

"Mig i'm thinking of something" Fleur said.

"Ok what's that ?" I asked.

"Hmm...I'm thinking we should announce Elva on the T.V and radio station,her family might come around" She said.

"What !" I exclaimed...Why do you want to do that ? don't you like her or what ?" I asked.

"No i didn't mean it that way..Her family would have been worried sick about her and i also thought she may badly want to return to her family but she might just be timid to say anything" She said.

"I know but we can't do that..Not yet and besides she didn't say anything about her family,she's enjoying her stay here and we also like to have someone around" I said .

"Yes i like her company but we have to be considerate,her family might be out there looking for her and we won't announce that we found a missing person just because we like her company..That's very selfish of us then" Fleur said and i also gave it a deep thought.

"It's true Fleur but we have to let her heal first and get back to her feet before we can do that" I said.

"Ok it's settled then,i have to get back to work, my shift isn't over yet" Fleur said getting up.

"Ok Fleur, Bye" I said.

"Bye" She said and walked out.

I stood up and walked to the kitchen, brought out the ingredients i needed to make meat loaf..

Ofcourse i'm a very good cook.

Elva needs to take something when she wakes up.

I started cooking,walking to and fro in the kitchen.

Meal loaf is ready !!

I dished it out in a big plate,covering it..I kept it in the freezer, planning to microwave it for Elva once she wakes.

I washed the pot and other cooking utensils used to prepare the meal.

I finished doing that,dried my hands with a napkin and walked out of the kitchen..Heading to Elva's room...

I opened the door and she was still deeply asleep,i know it will take some time before she wakes. Why don't i just get another copy of the torn novel before she wakes up.

I scurried out of her room ,walked into mine and took enough cash before walking out of the house.

I started trekking to the Bookshop down the street.

Luckily,i purchased the last copy of the novel,i paid the lady behind the desk and was about walking away when i sighted another novel.

"Lone eagle by Danielle steel" I read it out and walked towards it,i picked it up and read the summary and i was 'wowed'..

I walked back to the lady and paid for the novel also, ignoring the glances she's sending my way.

I walked away grinning.

"I should be fast,Elva would have been awake by now" I thought and hurried home.

I entered the house,dropped the novels on the couch and walked straight to Elva's room.

I opened the door and walked in.

I was right.

She's awake,sitting up on the bed,her lips curved in a smile as i walked towards her,i smiled back.

"Hey how are you feeling now ?" I asked.

"Much more better, thanks. Where is Fleur ?" She asked.

"She has gone back to work" I said and she nodded.

"Uhm" She sighed, looking at me shyly.

"What ?" I asked.

"I'm thinking if i can just get a little meal,my stomach is.." She sighed.

"Ohh...Okay,come with me to the dining,i just prepared Meat loaf" I said.

"Really ?" She asked.

"Yes" I said and she smiled standing up from the bed.

I walked ahead her.

"Ouch" I heard and turned.

She's holding on to the bed for support.

My bad.

I've forgotten she had sprained her ankle.

"Sorry Elva i've forgotten you sprained your ankle" I said and took two long strides towards her before scooping her into my arms..i heard her gasp and i smiled.

I lowered her into a dining chair and she muttered a 'Thank you".

I walked to the kitchen and quickly plugged on the microwave,i slipped the meal into it and closed it back,leaving it to heat up i walked back to the dining room.

"The meal is in the microwave,we just have to wait for few minutes for it to heat up" I said and sat across her.

"Ohh..Okay" She said.

"I went to purchase another copy of the novel,while you were asleep" I said and her face lit up.

"Really ?" She asked.

"Yes" I said.

"It's so interesting and i can't wait to continue reading it...What of the torn copy ?" She asked.

"Uh..that ? I've shoved it in the library shelf" I said and she nodded.

"I also purchased a new novel" I said.

"Really? Is it also the same author's novel?" She asked and i shook my head.

"Lone eagle by Danielle steels" I said.

"Wow,the name tells it all,its sure gonna be interesting" She said.

"Yes,the summary made me pick it" I said

"Where is it?" She asked.

"The living room" I said and stood up,walked to the couch where i kept the novels,i picked it up and walked back to Elva.

I dropped it in front of her and sat,she looked at the two novels, checking them out with a smile.

"Wow, as soon as im done with this.."Lone eagle" is next" She said, smiling.

"And who says i will borrow you the novels" I teased.

"Huh" She said nervously,scratching her hair.."Sorry i didn't know you were not gonna borrow me" She said with a pale face dropping the novels back on the table.

I laughed.

"Com'on,i was only joking" I said still laughing.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yes i was only joking,you can resume reading that one while i start with"Lone eagle" then i will give it to you after i'm done" I said.

"Thank you" She beamed.

"Let's set the novels aside for now,we will continue after lunch" I said dropping the two novels on the chair before walking to the kitchen to check the meal.

It's well heated,i switched off the microwave before bringing out the meal,i placed it on the kitchen counter and dished it into two plates, leaving some for Fleur.

I placed the two plates of meat loaf in a tray and carried it to the dining room.

I placed Elva's meal in front of her and also placed mine on the table.

I walked back to the kitchen and returned to the dining room with two bottles of water and glass cups.

Elva has started eating already,i placed a table of water with a glass cup in front of her.

"Thanks Mig" She said and i nodded before sitting down to start eating.

We've finished eating and i'm now in the kitchen washing our dishes, Elva offered to help but i declined.

She's waiting for me in the dining room...I gotta hurry.

I finished washing the dishes and placed them in the drain board.

I dried my hand with the napkin and walked back to meet her.

"I'm done with the dishes" I said.

"Ok" She said and stood up,she flinched in pain but quickly cover it up with a smile. She doesn't want to bother me by carrying her again but i don't care.

I carried her in my arms and headed to the living room,i placed her gently on the couch before sitting beside her.

"Thanks Mig" She said and i nodded.

I picked up "Lone eagle" and started reading.

Elva's POV

"OMG Elara is beating up Nicky" I said referring to the novel i'm reading. I laughed hard on the couch.

"Yeah, Nicky is a loser" Mig said.

I badly wanted to pee but i don't know how to tell Mig,i can't walk fine by myself and i don't want to disturb him,i have no choice right now.

I cleared my throat.

"Hmm..Mig can you please support me to the bathroom,i badly need to pee" I muttered.

"Ohh..Okay" He said.

"I'm so sorry to disturb you" I said.

"You aren't disturbing me okay?..he stood up from the couch and was about carrying me.

"I can do with just leaning on you for support" I said even if i badly want him to carry me.

"Ohh..Really? are you sure you can limp to the bathroom,you badly need to pee and the limping is sure gonna take forever so you wont end up peeing all over your beautiful shorts" He said jokingly and we both laughed..

He ended up scooping me in his arms before carrying me to the bathroom..

Ah...I can stay in his arms forever.

"If you are done,just call on me. I'm right by the door" He said after dropping me in the bathroom.

"Thanks Mig" I said before he walked out,he closed the door behind him.

I tugged down my short and lowered my butt into the clean toilet seat.

I finished peeing,i twisted the faucet to flush the pee, after that,i limped to the sink.

While washing my hand,i looked out of the window and saw it was almost getting dark.

I called on Mig after i'm done,he walked in and picked me up again..

Uhm..

He dropped me on the couch and sat beside me.

"Thanks Mig" I said and he nodded.

"You won't believe it's almost dark" I said.

"Yeah,while engrossed in something,you lose track of time" He said.

"Ohh and what we are engrossed in is?" I asked sarcastically.

"Novel" We said together and laughed.

"But Mig,this novel is more interesting than i thought" I said.

"Yeah that made it my best novel and you are yet to enjoy it,just wait till you get to the revenge part then all hell will let loose" He said.

"Really?" I asked in anticipation.

"Ofcourse"

"I can't wait " I said,picked it up and continued from where i stopped.

"I'm home" We heard and raised up our heads.

I smiled on seeing Fleur walking towards us with two shopping bags almost filled to the brim.

I hoped i wasn't the one she bought those things for...I mean she has spent a lot on me already.

"Welcome Fleur" I said.

"Welcome sis" Mig said.

"Thanks guys,Elva how are you feeling now ?" She asked.

"Much more better,thanks" I said.

"How was work today?"

"Stressful as ever" She said, sitting on a nearby couch..."I'm so tired and hungry" She added.

"Sorry" I muttered.

"Thanks Elva" She said pushing her hair from her face.

"I left some meat loaf for you,you can just warm it up in the microwave and eat it" Mig said.

"Ohh..Mig i'm so tired,can you do that for me please" Fleur whined pulling her palms together, she then rubbed it slowly as a plea to Mig who has a frown on his face.

I chuckled inwardly..

"Please bro" Fleur said.

"Ok..ok, you sure know how to make that pity face" He scoffed playfully,stood up and walked to the kitchen.

"I love you bro" Fleur shouted and smiled.

" I Love you more sis" Mig shouted from the kitchen.

"Elva i bought you some toiletries,a body towel,body lotion,hair lotion,pyjamas and some clothes with other things" Fleur said.

"Thanks so much Fleur but that's too much, it would have definitely cost you a lot" I said.

"No it's okay" She said with a smile.

"Thanks so much Fleur" I said.

"I will help you keep them in your room" She said and stood up,pulling the shopping bags with her.

"Thank you" I said feeling so grateful to have such caring people around me.

Fleur walked back to the living room,now clad in a comfortable shorts with a big polo and bunny footwear.

She sat beside me on the couch.

"Mig is the meal loaf heated up ?" She asked loudly.

"It's ready, i'm about dishing it out" Mig said.

"Okay"

"Elva are you feeling pains anywhere apart from your head and ankle ?" Fleur asked.

"No Fleur" I said.

"Here it is" Mig said handing over a plate of meat loaf with a glass cup of water to Fleur.

"Thanks bro" Fleur collected it and started eating hungrily.

Ohh..She must be really starving.

"I'm going back to the kitchen to make dinner" Mig said.

"Ok,you are the best" Fleur said with a mouthful.

"I know you hear this all the time but you're the best sister in the universe" Mig said.

He flicked a small smile at her before walking back to the kitchen, Fleur grinned.

I felt jealous...Was my family as sweet as this?

Do i have siblings ? I thought trying hard to remember but i felt a sharp pain tore through my head.

"Ouch" I cried in pain.

"Are you okay ?" Fleur asked worriedly and i nodded.

"Yeah,i just felt a sharp pain tore through my head" I said.

"While you were forcing yourself to remember something right?" Fleur asked and i gazed at her in surprise.

I nodded slowly.

"But i told you not to do that,it might cause some health failures and also make your amnesia last longer" She said.

"I'm sorry,i just couldn't help it" I said.

"You don't have to be sorry,i perfectly understand ok" She said and i nodded..

She kept me busy with work talks till dinner got ready !

We finished eating the spicy dinner Mig prepared.

Mig is also a very good cook.

We said our goodnights and Mig carried me to my room,he dropped me on my bed and turned to leave.

"Thanks so much Mig" I said...

He smiled before walking out,closing the door behind him.

I saw the things Fleur bought for me on the couch and i grinned harder.

'Why don't i try on the pyjamas' I thought and stood up from the bed limping slowly towards the couch..

I poured out the content of the shopping bags on the couch and smiled..Everything is looking so beautiful and colourful.

Fleur sure knows how to select the best.

I managed to arrange them in the wardrobe but left the pink pyjamas behind.

I slipped off my outfit and quickly put on the pyjamas.

Wow,it felt heavenly.

I limped back to the bed smiling all through..The pyjamas felt so soft and free against my skin..

I crawled under the blanket,laid comfortably before switching on the bedside lamp.

I yawned loudly before drifting off to sleep.

Mig's POV

My stomach tighten as i opened my eyes..My palms started feeling sweaty,my body turning red with green veins sticking out,my stomach rumbling painfully.

I groaned in pain, i turned my head looking out of the window.

The weather has turned humid and my disease is back!

"Fl..e..ur" I managed to call before groaning loud in pain.

Elva's POV

I sat on the bed with Fleur after i finished having my bath and dressing up, clad in the blue short gown Fleur bought for me, she had walked into my room early in the morning to change my bandage and also check my ankle.

"Wow your head is healing faster" Fleur said before rolling out clean bandage.

"Now to your ankle" She said and moved to my ankle which still hurt like hell,she removed the bandaid and examined it with her gloves.

"We don't have to cover it up anymore,it needs more air to heal quickly" She said and i nodded.

"Now we are done"She said packing back her tools into the first aid box.

"Thanks Fleur" I said with a smile.

She suddenly look out of the window and a gasp escaped her throat,she grabbed two syringes then rushed out.

"Fleur what's wr..." I was saying but she already ran out leaving me in astonishment.

What could be wrong....The look on her face wasn't funny.

I limped after her,i saw the door to Mig's room close and i knew she went in there.

I hoped nothing is wrong with Mig.

I limped faster causing my ankle to hurt more..

I walked into Mig's room and my mouth dropped in shock.

On the floor is an unrecognisable Mig,his skin had gone red with green veins sticking out,his face looks pale and his lips almost in a white color..

And Fleur panted as she jammed the two syringes all over his body.

"Oh..my..god!" I exclaimed in shock.

"What's..th..is?" I asked...Still in shock,who wouldn't be shocked at this sight in front of me.

"Thank goodness" I muttered when i saw his body has started returning to normal,the scary looking veins had disappeared and his skin colour is back to the normal colour..His eyeballs rolled at me before it finally closed.

He has fallen asleep.

Fleur stood up and walked towards me..I hadn't realised she was crying.

"Fleur what happened ? is Mig okay?" I asked worriedly.

"You may probably want to leave after seeing that,i will help you with some cash" She said, sniffling.

"What, no!" I exclaimed.."I'm not leaving just because of..what i saw,you guys took me in without even knowing anything about me,i can't just decide to leave simply because Mig gat a problem" I said firmly.

Fleur looked at me like she was surprised.

"Hey, we're in this together" I added.

"Really?" She asked in surprise.

"Yes"I said.

"Come with me to the living room"She said walking ahead.

"Wait...Will Mig be okay ?" I asked, looking back at him.

"Yes. After two hours" She said and we both walked to the living room.

We sat on the couch facing each other.

"Elva" Fleur called.

"Huh"

"I don't know how to tell you this but Mig is suffering from a disease called "rare syndrome" since he was a kid...Then we were living in the city.

The disease appears whenever the weather turn 'humid'

Our parents took him to several doctors and they all said there is no cure to the disease, that all we can do it appears is to pierce a syringe or any other tiny object all over his body to lessen the air that has built up in his body...If the attack lasts for an hour..He's gonna suffocate and d..i..e die.

Our parents did all they can to ensure Mig get a cure but there is none..

Then when we were both in high school,my parents will check what the weather forecasts before we leave for school..Mig will stay behind whenever the weather forecasts 'humid' then i will leave for school alone.

Ofcourse it was kept a secret from others cause we know that if others find out, he's gonna be stigmatised..

We were done with high school and Mig started working while i attended the university studying Nursing,i was in my last year when i got home and found Mum sobbing.

We left the city after Mig's disease was discovered,we were stigmatised,people thought the disease was contagious so we were avoided.

And when our parents couldn't bear it anymore,we relocated to the countryside and started living here...My parents actually bought this house and refurnished it before we moved in.

Thanks to the fact that i have a college diploma,that's what i'm using to work here as a nurse.

My brother couldn't work cos his disease might appear unexpectedly and we wouldn't want to be stigmatised again.

We lost our parents a year ago to a car accident so that's the reason you found us living alone.

Humid weather doesn't occur frequently anymore..Just twice or thrice in a month.

Mig once had a girlfriend who stayed with us after our parents died but she left after finding out about Mig's disease and not only did she left,she collected a huge sum of money from us after threatening to expose his disease to the world...She left and that made Mig's heart broken for months.

And i was surprised you said you won't leave even after finding out about his disease..I'm kind of glad you didn't leave us.

Thanks so much Elva" Fleur said pulling me into a hug,i wiped off my tears...I hadn't even realised i was crying..

They had both went through a lot..I hugged her back and she cried on my shoulder..

The telephone suddenly rang and we both disengaged from the hug. Fleur went to pick it,she placed it on her ear.

"Ok..I will be there in few minutes" She said before dropping the call.

"Elva,i have to go to the hospital now,we have an emergency" Fleur said.."I need to go get dressed" She rushed off to her room..

She came out few minutes later,dressed in a brown blouse tucked in a pair of white khaki pants..With a black shoulder bag.

"Elva, Mig will be awake soon,just tell him i went to attend to an emergency,see you soon. Bye" She said before rushing off.

I sat on the couch with different thoughts running through my mind.

I heard some movements behind me and turned.

It's Miguel...Looking fine.

"Mig" I called.

"I understand you don't want me around you anymore,i know i freaked you out earlier so i will just take a glass cup of water from the kitchen and leave" He said.

"No,i want you around and yes you freaked me out but i now understand everything,Fleur has told me everything and even if she hadn't told me, i can't see any reason to avoid you.

Like, you guys took care of me when i was down, and i'll just leave because of a disease? that's not even contagious..no" I said..

I had limped to where he was standing.

He was looking as surprised as Fleur had looked.

"Mig we will still continue the way we were,nothing is gonna change" I said and i saw a tear rolled down his cheek.

"Thanks Elva" He said and i smiled,encircled my hands around him in a bid to comfort him.

I don't know how...But i felt my heart warm against him.

Mig's POV

We both walked to the couch..Or rather,i walked while she limped,we sat down and a smile lit up my face.

The thought of Elva not avoiding me even after witnessing that...I felt happy there is someone apart from Fleur and my parents who accepts me the way i am..

She really surprised me,i thought she would have picked her bag and left but i was wrong..

"Now you look more cute when you smile" Elva said and i found myself grinning more..

"Hey, you are blushing" She said and laughed.

"I'm not" I lied.

"Lies, i saw you" She teased and i chuckled.

"Where's Fleur ?" I asked.

"Oh..She went to attend to an emergency" Elva said.

"Ohh...Why don't you come with me to the kitchen,let's make our breakfast even if it's too late to be called breakfast" I said and she smiled.

"Ok" She stood up limping before me to the kitchen.

"Elva just sit,i will do the cooking" I said.

shifting a kitchen stool towards her.

"No i will help" She said and i shook my head.

"I would have allowed you help but you ankle still hurts and you can't be limping to and fro in the kitchen..Just sit and watch me okay" I said and she nodded sitting.

"Now what should i make?..Soup,casserole,spinach salad...I virtually know how to make all the dishes" I boasted.

"Really ?" She asked.

"Yes, Mum taught me all i need to know" I said with pride.

"Ok i want you to make...." Elva said.

"What ?" I asked.

"Chicken Casserole" She said.

"Ohh..That's the simplest of all" I said and started bringing out ingredient for the chicken casserole.

I placed them on the kitchen table and wore an apron.

Elva kept looking at my every move and her smile gave me some burst of energy.

"Wow..The aroma is enticing, Mig you're a very good cook" Elva said and i smiled.

"Thanks"

The meal is ready and i'm now dishing it out in two plates,i remained some for Fleur.

I placed the two plates of casserole in a tray.

"Allow me help with that" Elva said already getting down from the stool,she took it from me before i could object then limped with it to the dining..

I took two bottles of water and glass cups after her.

We sat facing each other at the dining..

"Now, let's enjoy the meal chef Mig prepared" Elva said sarcastically and we chuckled.

We started eating and i can see nodding her head at interval...She's obviously enjoying my Chicken Casserole.

"Yummy..It tastes very nice" Elva said.

"Ofcourse...Don't forget i'm a chef and not just any chef, one of the best chefs" I boasted and we giggled.

We were done eating in minutes.

"Elva i'm gonna show you round the house,the places Fleur didn't get to show you" I said.

"Ohh...Really ? then let's go. I want to see it now" She said.

"No you can't" I said and a frown appeared on her face.."It won't be great if you are still limping,just wait for few more days then we'll go" I said and she nodded.

I stood up and started packing the empty plates back into the tray to go wash them.

"I'll do that" Elva said already getting up to collect it from me.

"No Elva,just sit. I will do it" I said.

"Stop treating me like i'm amputated,I'm going to use my hands to do the dishes not my ankle..You did the cooking, i should help with the dishes..Please" She pleaded.

I gave in after much persuasion,i left her to go wash the dishes while i went back to the living room,i sat on the couch,picked up my novel and continued from where i stopped.

Elva joined me few minutes later,she also picked up hers and continued reading.

"I'm back home..Two novel freaks" We heard and looked up.

Elva's POV

It's Fleur.

"Welcome Fleur" I said.

"Thanks Elva" She replied with a smile.

"Hey sis" Mig said.

"Hey bro" Fleur said sitting on a couch opposite ours.

"So..How was the emergency?" I asked.

"It was gruesome,we would have lost lives if i hadn't gotten there on time" She said with a tired expression.

"Wow, I'm glad all went well" I said.

"Yeah but i'm starving" She said using her palm to rub her flat stomach.

I left some Chicken Casserole for you,its in the kitchen" Mig said and her face lit up.

She scurried into the kitchen and i smiled.

I turned back to my novel..."Mig" I called.

"Yes" He answered.

"Elara is becoming fierce" I said referring to the novel.

"Yeah what do you expect from a girl whose parents were murdered by the parents of the guy she loves " Mig said.

"That's terrific" I said.

"Ofcourse it is" Mig said.

"I'm beginning to love it,hope you haven't thrashed the torn copy,i would like to stick the pieces together with some gum so i can also have a copy to myself "I said.

"I didn't thrash it, it's in the library shelf,you are free to have it" He said.

"Okay thanks...You seem to have almost finished that one" I said referring to the novel in his hand.

"Yeah i'm almost done with it,it's also great" Mig said and continued reading.

I don't want to rush this novel,i want to savor every bit of it. I'm a fast reader,i could finish reading a novel in an hour but not like this novel..It seems unique.

Did i just say i'm a fast reader?

How did i know that?...cause this novel seems my first..Or;

Have i read any novel before this?

Am i a lover of novels? I asked myself trying hard to remember but i felt a sharp pain tore through my head...I cried out.

"Elva what's wrong?" Mig asked worriedly.

"Uhn..uhn i just felt a sharp pain in my head" I said.

"Sorry...Are you okay now ?" He asked.

"Yeah..Thanks"

"I'm full" We heard Fleur said before she jumped on a couch.

"You two are novel freaks" Fleur said before burping loud 'twice'.

"Oops forgive my manners" she said but Mig shot her glare.

"I'm sorry" She said again and i noticed Mig wasn't looking pleased.

"I said i'm sorry...What's with the glare huh" Fleur scoffed at Mig.

"You know how much i detest that,you should have at least covered your mouth..You lack some manner!" Mig scoffed back.

"But my apology should have pacified you,it wasn't intended,it just came out suddenly" Fleur said with a frown.

"But yo.." Mig was saying.

"I've said sorry Mig..What's all this about" Fleur said getting pissed.

"Just ha.." Mig was saying.

"Whatever" Fleur said angrily before stomping to her room..

"I think that was uncalled for,she didn't do anything wrong besides she also apologised" I said to Mig before we heard the loud slam of Fleur's door.

"But that isn't enough to get her pissed" Mig said soberly.

"Just go apologise to her" I said and he stood up and walked to her room.

I know he felt sorry...It's actually nice watching their little fight.

Do i also have little fights with my siblings?

Do i even have siblings?

I quickly shut out the thoughts to prevent another pain in my head.

"Wow" I muttered when i heard giggles,like they are playing or something.

Didn't they just quarrelled now?

I smiled and continued reading my novel.

They both came back into the living room distracting me with their laughter.

They sat on the couch.

"Let's play a game" Fleur said.

We sat round the table to play a board game,Fleur taught me the procedures before we began and surprisingly 'i won'.

We switched to a simple card game which Fleur won...She jumped excitedly and i can't help but laugh.

"Wow it's late !" Mig exclaimed.

"It's 7pm" Fleur added.

"Let's go make dinner" She said.

We all said our 'goodnights' after eating the meal Fleur prepared..

Fleur is a good cook also but Mig is more good.

I slipped under my blanket after bathing and changing into my lovely pyjamas then i picked up my novel.

I plan on finishing it tonight,i'm always distracted by middays so it's better i savor this quiet moment to enjoy it.

I continued reading from where i stopped.

"Wow" I said cleaning my tears after i finished reading it.

It's emotional and i'm glad it ended that way ...I checked the bedside clock and gasp.

It's 2am..I have just few hours to sleep.

Well..I didn't regret spending my sleeping time to read that novel..

It's worth it..

I wasn't feeling sleepy yet so i had to open the parts i like and started rereading it.

I didn't realise when i dozed off with my mouth widely open.
