My name is Alexa Johnson but that was before my marriage, now I am known as Alexa Perkins. I'm 20 years old and wife to one of the hottest bachelors in New York well not bachelor anymore since he is married to me now, Elijah Perkins. At the age of 23, he is the owner of top companies in the world that he has built with his hard work along with his father's companies. That’s the perk of born in a very wellknown family. People already know who you are and you can easily start anything on your own.

Everything about him is perfect. He has brown eyes that I can stare at it for a long time. He is 6’2 and yes he is tall like a model. His body is smoking hot, that’s all I can describe.

While me, I have a pair of brown eyes too and even my hair is brunette. I am 5’6. It’s like a perfect height different and people said we look cute together.

Well, let me cut the chase and tell you about how we first met.

FLASHBACK

The story begins with our college. When he was in his last year, I was a student of the first year. We had met once or twice but one incident changed everything.

Our first date was very romantic and at the end of the day, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I felt as if it was all a dream come true and replied with a yes. That was an unforgettable day. After that, I fell in love with him a little by little every day. I knew the feeling was mutual.

We are just so happy with how our lives are going and hoping for kids in the future.

END OF FLASHBACK

It has been two years into our married life, and I still can't get over the fact that I have been married for so long. Elijah has always been a soft, sweet, romantic, and caring husband to me. The presence of a spark between us can still be felt. This is what all I have ever dreamt of, all I need now is a baby in our life. We’ve been trying these days and I do have a feelings God will give us a miracle sooner. Elijah will be the good dad to our children.

I open my eyes to see my handsome husband is lying beside me. I smile at him and then kiss his cheek.

He told me he loved me so many times when we made love last night, and I was so happy to know that his feelings towards me don't even change until now.

Just like how we said in our vows, till death do us apart.

I sit up and then look around for my clothes. When I see my clothes, I wear it then walks to the bathroom.

I take a shower for about ten minutes then walk out with a towel wrap around my naked body. I walk to our walkin closet and pick the outfit for today. I just pick black leggings with a white shirt.

Then, I just let my hair down and let it dry on its own. Taking a shower in the morning very refreshing. I like it when the cold drip of water roll down to my whole body.

The shivers makes me satisfied. I hope I am not the only one.

After I'm done, I look at the time and smile. I still have enough time to make Elijah his breakfast. I tiptoe to the door because I don't want to wake him up yet.

He might be still tired from yesterday. I walk downstairs and then got into the kitchen.

I decided to make his favourite breakfast which is pancakes. Well, at first he doesn't like it this much, but he said when he first time tries mine, he totally in love with pancakes.

I know he just said that because he loves me and wants to make me happy but I do think my pancake is delicious. I make it quickly because he might already wake up and ready for work.

After a few minutes, I'm finally done and I bring the plates to put it on the table. I put various toppings that he likes which are chocolate syrup, honey, and whip cream.

I wait for him at the table. A moment later, I can smell the sensation of the perfume of my husband. The scent that I have been smelling for years now.

I saw him walking down in his Armani looking handsome as always. "Hey baby. Good morning," I walk to him and peck his lips. "Hmm morning." He said while adjusting his watch.

I look at him smiling like an idiot because I fall in love with him more when I look at him. I mean who doesn’t. Look at him, he is so hot and handsome and most important part is that he is my husband.

"I already make you pancakes. Let's go," I grab his hand but then I stop knowing that he takes his hand back.

"Why?" I ask looking at him weirdly. He rarely refuses to eat breakfast with me.

"I need to be hurried because I have a meeting in 30 minutes." He said and just walk past me to the door.

"But I already make you some pancakes which is your favourite. Can't you at least eat it even if it only one bite?" I said in low tone hoping he will agree and eat breakfast with me.

"I never ask you to make it. You can't blame me..." I was quite shocked when he said to me like that like he never rejects my pancakes but this time is the first time he did.

Why is he acting so harsh to me today? Have I made something wronged and I didn't realize it last night? I don't think so. Maybe he really need to be hurry for his meeting.

"Well"

"Oh before I forget, I will go to London this evening for a few days. I don't know when I am coming back. If there nothing important, please don’t call me. I might be so busy there because of the new contract and so. So, yeah I need to go now." Before I could say anything, he got into his car and drove off.

I stand there and look at his car slowly fading away. I sighed and prevent my tears to come out. He's going to London for a few days' means he will not be eating breakfast with me for a few days.

What concerns me is he didn't bring any suitcase to put his clothes or anything, he just brings his bag that he put files in there that's it. I know he is loaded but that doesn’t mean he will always going to buy a new clothes for business trip.

That would be a waste since he has a lot of it. Or maybe he do have an emergency suitcase anywhere in his private plane. Rich people always do that.

I walk inside the house and make my way to the dining room. I look at all the pancakes on the table. I take a seat and start to take the pancakes and eat it. I eat and eat it.

Maybe he just too busy with his work. I can't blame him though. He is a businessman and I need to understand his work and I should be ready for all the consequences.

That’s what I told myself before make a decision to be in his life. I let out a sighed.

Just then my phone ring. I look at the caller and my lips turning into a smile. It's my best friend Thea Morris.

She just know that I am sad right now. I love her.

"Hey girl.," I said. "Hey umm can you please open the door right now?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Open the door? Why? Where are you?" I ask her, wondering why she calls me just want me to open the door.

"In front of your house to be specific in front of your door." I immediately stand up and walk to the door. I open it to see Thea grinning. I hang up the call then look at her.

"Why don't you just press the bell?" She walks inside then follow me to the dining room.

"Because I don't want to meet with your husband obviously. It will ruin my entire day," She said and eat the pancakes without asking me.

Well you know, Thea never likes Elijah like ever. I don't even know why. Every time they meet, they always end up arguing for something stupid. They just can't get along at all.

They are like cat and dog but sometimes the cat and dog can be nice to each other too. Every best friend supposed to be happy if their best friend gets married and be happy but not for Thea. She never approved Elijah since I met him. It is just weird.

She keeps telling me that I need to be strong, mentally and physically. I know she loves me so much and I love her too.

She's like my sister cause she always be there for me no matter what and I know she just wants the best for me. She is the one that I have before I met Elijah.

"I still can't understand why you didn't like him." I take a sip of my orange juice.

"Alexa, I just... You know I just feel like he's not the one for you." She said. “Oh, by the way where is he? He’s not in this house right?”

“Nope. He rushed out earlier because he got an early meeting this morning. That’s why there’s still a lot of pancakes in front of you,” I said.

ALEXA.

“I see. I wonder what kind of emergency meeting he got. It’s still so early and the staff not going to be there as early as that. Is he going to talk to himself or what?” She said and laughs.

“Can you not think negatively about Elijah? Who knows maybe he told all his staff to be there early. It is not possible right?” I look at Thea and I heard Thea mumbling something under her breath. “pardon?”

“Nothing! Let’s just keep eating. You make the best pancakes ever. I love you.”

"Thea, me and Elijah already married like two years, and we're just fine. We both happy with our life. Why can't you be happy for me? I'm your best friend. Don’t you want to see me happy?" She sighed and then look at me.

"I'm sorry Alexa. It's not like I don't want you to be happy. It just that I think he's not the one for you. I just know," I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"What do you mean he's not the one for me and you know?" I ask her.

"Listen Alexa, all this time Elijah cheated on you behind your back. You’ve been staying at home and you don’t know what your ‘lovely’ husband do behind your back," I am surprised when she said that.

"Thea! Why are you talking about? Why would he cheated behind my back? He loves me and he told me that last night too. I trust him with all my heart that he is not sleeping with another woman beside me," My anger is rising right now.

"I know you won’t believe me when I said this but I'm not lying. I saw with my own eyes. Please believe me. He's not a good man. Last few days when I walk to the mall, I saw him and I'm very sure it's him in the car with a woman. I even open my eyes as big as I can to see clearly." I look at her disbelief. How can she say like that to my husband? Elijah? With another woman? Nonsense!

"This is all bullshit! I can't believe you, Thea. You're my one and only best friend that I have. How can you accuse my husband like that? Why can't you accept that I'm his WIFE! I didn't ask for anything Thea, I just ask for you to be happy for me. That's it! It's not that hard. Where’s the prove that he was with another woman in the car? Where?!" I burst into anger and she looks at me.

“II forgot to snap a picture but Alexa, I'm being serious. I swear to you that I'm not lying. I saw him and this is not the first time I saw him with another woman. I even saw him walk into the hotel with another woman too... I swear. Believe me please.” She holds my hands.

"I don't want to hear anything from you right now. I want you to get out of my house now." She really makes my anger boost. My mood already not that good because Elijah didn’t have a breakfast with me and now, this woman who I thought my best friend, accused my husband doing shitty things behind my back.

"Ale"

"OUT!!" I yelled.

"Fine. But I will prove it to you that everything that I’ve said was all true. That time, you’ll see and don’t worry, I will always stick with you after that," With that, she walks out and I heard the door being slammed so hard.

I close my eyes and sit on the chair. I put my head on the table.

Why my only best friend act like that? I can't believe this. How can she accused Elijah cheated on me? There's no way he could go out with another woman. He just tells me that he loves me last night.

That's the proof to show that he loves me. He won't do that to me and I think Thea was mis looked my husband with another guy. I believe Elijah. Even though my heart trying to believe what Thea had said, It is very hard to do so.

After Thea go home, I called Elijah and I smile when he answer it. “Hello Alexa, what’s wrong?” He asks.

“Elijah, do you hate me?” I ask directly.

“What’s the sudden question?”

“Just wondering because you were quite cold to me this morning and the fact that I cannot meet you for a few days, makes me uneasy. That’s why I decided to call you,” I said to him.

“I don’t hate you Alexa. Now, I have work to do. Can I call you later?”

“Sure. Take care, I love you,” I said.

“Love you too,” With that he hangs up the phone. I feel a bit relieved to hear it from him. So, everything Thea said is not true. She might take a wrong look someone who looks like my husband.

Just when I’m about to go sleep, I decided to go downstairs and drink some water first. I walk downstairs and this house feel so empty especially when I am alone in this house.

It is better to have children so that this house will feel more alive than now. I look around and think about doing some arrangement to the furniture since it’s been years since we actually change it.

It should be better to change because I got bored to see it just like that in the same position for so long. Even Elijah understand about it and he always agree with me. I walk to the refrigerator and open it to take a bottle of water.

I drink it and then after I’m all done, I walk back to my room but when I ‘m about to step on the stairs, I can hear the front door being unlock. My hear suddenly beating so fast. What if there is a thief?

I slowly walk to the door and ready to hit the thief if anything happen. When he door open, I saw Elijah who still in his suit as this morning and he look surprised to see me there with a vase in my hands.

“What are you doing?” He asks closing the door.

“I thought there was a thief trying to get into the house,” I said and out the vase back to it place. “I thought you said you’re going to London?” I ask and we walk to our bedroom together. I am happy that Elijah actually home tonight.

At least, I can cuddle with him tonight and not going to miss him that much.

“I’m going tomorrow. I just remember that I need a few clothes and some files from home,” He said and I just nod to show that I am listening to it. “Why are you still awake?”

“I’m about to sleep then I feel thirsty, so I went down to drink some water,” I explain and he seems not listening to me because he is busy with his phone now. I walk to him and try to give him a goodnight kiss.

“Just go to sleep, Alexa. I’m busy,” He said stopping me from doing it and he left the room and maybe go to his office.

I am left there and so confused. What’s wrong with just give me at least a peck of kiss before go to his office. It’s not take that much time. I thought. I decided to brush it off and off to sleep.

ALEXA

I'm pregnant.

The pregnancy test said it all. I'm pregnant. I can't believe this. I took it this morning and it's said that I'm pregnant. I took three times and three of them are positive.

Finally, Elijah and I will be parents. Oh my god! I can't wait to tell him when he comes back. I bet his reaction is priceless. We've been waiting for this moment and god finally gave us. Thank you for this huge gift.

My life feels more perfect now. We're finally will be parents! I smile and walk out of the bathroom and heading to bed. I take my phone to call Elijah because I want to ask when will he come home.

I really need to make preparation before he comes home. I press the call and wait for him to pick up. It's going to voicemail. I frown at it but I just keep calling.

Voicemail again.

Again...

And...

Again...

After four times I call him, finally, he picks it up. "What?" I smile when I hear his voice.

"Hey baby, I miss you so much. It's been one week since you go to London." I said.

"What do you want?" He asks and his voice seems like he's in a hurry.

"I just miss you, Elijah and I want to ask you when will you comeback?" I ask and my heart feels a bit hurt when he didn't ask if I'm okay or anything.

"Hmm okay. I don't know maybe next week or next month, don't wait for me. I don’t have plans to go back soon. Anyways, I need to go bye."

Before I could say anything he just hangs up on me. Maybe he's in a hurry for his meeting. I can't blame him because of it his work. He works hard for our family and I need to understand it. It’s ok Alexa.

I pat my stomach. "It's okay baby, I will find a way to tell your father. We’re so excited to meet you," I smile then suddenly I heard the doorbell.

I stand up and go downstairs to look at who it is. I open the door and it shows Thea standing there with a smile on her face.

"Hey, Alexa." She greets me. "Hi," I said feeling weird because it's been a week since our last talk and that didn’t go well at all. I almost delete her number because I am so mad at her.

"Didn't you want to invite me in?" I step aside to let her in. We walk to the living room and sit on the couch. "Well... I know you still mad at me. So I'm here to apologize. I know I shouldn't say to your husband like that. I'm sorry.." She looks at me with a regret face. I stand up from my seat and go sit beside her. “Alexa?”

"You know, I'm sorry too because I kicked you out just like that," I said and she pulls me for a hug.

I hug her back. I miss her so much, to be honest. I still have a bit of feeling angry towards her but I let it slide since I am alone now and Elijah don’t know when he will coming home.

"I am suffering because I can't talk to you for the one whole week. You know, you're my one and only best friend that I know." She said after we break apart the hug. I smile at her.

Maybe I should tell her about the news I just found out this morning. I cannot keep a secret too long from her.

"I have something to tell you." Of course, I would tell her. "What it is?" She asks.

"Okay... First of all, don't freak out when I tell you."

"Okay okay just hurry up." She looks so excited to know what I'm going to tell her. "Alexa! hurry up."

"Okay... I'm pregnant." She looks surprised then a big smile appears on her face.

"Arghhhh! Oh my god! I'm going to be an aunt. OMG! OMG!" I chuckle at her reaction. Looking at her reaction like this, I'm thinking about how Elijah's reaction will be.

"I told you not to freak out, girl"

"How can I not? You're pregnant!" I smile at her. “I am going to be a rich and cool aunt to your child,”

"By the way, when did you know that you're pregnant?"

"This morning." She hugs me and then smiles. "I'm so so so so so happy for you, Alexa. I really am." She said. Just then, her phone ring.

"Wait a second. I’ll be right back," She stands up and goes to the kitchen to take that call. Maybe that's important that's why she didn't want me to hear it. After a few minutes, she walks in with a smile on her face.

"Sorry. It took quite long.." She takes a seat beside me again.

"Nah it's fine. Who's that? Your boyfriend?" I tease her.

"Ew, I don't have any okay. Don't ever think like that, Oh yeah, Alexa let's go and have lunch at the hotel today." She said.

"What for? I mean we can just go out lunch at one of our favourite restaurants. Don't waste money too much Thea."

"Awe Alexa you’re no fun. We have to celebrate that you're pregnant. Let's go." She said and I raised my eyebrows.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" She adds. "Let's goooo. This is the time where you need to use your husband’s money just like any rich wife do,"

"Okay, okay, but first I will need to change my clothes." She nodded her head and I walk upstairs to change.

I pick baby blue jeans and a white shirt to pair it with my nude pink cardigan. For my hair, I just let it down. I comb my hair to make it neater. I put mascara and lipstick.

I don't like to wear my make up too much because I prefer to look more natural. I spray some perfume then take my handbag. I take my cream colour pump then I'm ready.

I go downstairs to see Thea already standing at the door. "Let's go." She opens the door and we walk to her car. We talk and laugh on the way there. Its feel so good to hang out with my best friend. After a moment later, we finally arrive at the hotel to have our lunch. This is so random.

"Alexa, why don't we just stay here for one or maybe two days?" She asks when we walk inside the hotel.

"It's so spontaneous Thea, we don't have any spare clothes," I said and she chuckles.

"Pleaseeee... I want to hang out with you. We can buy new clothes to wear or we can wear the same clothes for 24 hours. Come on, It's not like we never have done it before. Oh why not we go shopping first?" She said excitedly.

“You know I can't say no to you when you did that. Fine... but I’m starving. Let’s go eat and then we can go shopping. ” I said. She mumbles something under her breath and I couldn’t catch up anything at all.

ALEXA

“You said something?”

“Nope, I just humming some random happy song,”

“You sure?”

"Yes. Thank you for being here today!." She swung her arms around my neck makes me choked.

"ThThea let me go." She immediately let me go and I take a breath. "Opss sorry hehe." She grabs my arms to go to the receptionist.

"Hello, welcome miss." The people at the receptionist greeted us with a sweet smile. "Hello. I'm Thea Morris..." I just stay quiet and wait for her.

"Oh, Ms. Morris. It's room 368 on the 10th floor." The woman at the counter said. I look at Thea and raised my eyebrows.

"Thank you," Thea said to that woman and then lead me to the lift. "Woah you already booked the room for us?" I ask and she just smiles at me.

“I am well prepared,”

“Yeah right,” I playfully rolled my eyes at her.

"Alexa I'm sorry to ruin the mood of whatever you feeling right now but I need to do this." She said as we walk inside the lift.

"Why are you saying like that? Is there anything wrong?" I ask and she shakes her head.

"You’re my best friend and I want you to be happy. That's it. Just remember you will always be my woman no matter what," I just stay silent and wait until we arrived on the 10th floor.

Ding!

We walk side by side until we standing in front of the room that shows number 368. She gives me the card and I take it.

"Before you open it I just want to say that I did all this because I don't want you to live like this. I mean… yea you will know what I meant..."

It's getting so weird why would she say like that? My heart stomping so fast all of the sudden.

I swipe the card and then open the door. I walk inside and my eyes widen in shock. I can't believe what I saw right now.

My heart just broke in a million pieces. The shirtless Elijah and woman who seems like she's already naked beneath him. I look at Thea but she didn't look at me back and she just face the wall.

I don't know what to say this is so unbelievable. Is this some kind of joke?

"Elijah!" I found myself shouted his name. I can feel my eyes already blurry because of tears. He looks shocked at first then his face becomes blank. He stood up and standing in front of me. I look at that woman who covered herself with the blanket.

"II thought you were in London..." I asked with my slow voice.

"You already see me standing in front of you here. Yes, I lied to you," He said and his face doesn't show any guilty.

"Why? Why are you doing this to me?" I ask and now my tears already rolling down my cheeks.

"You want to know why? Because I don't love you anymore. I feel like this marriage was a huge mistake I've ever done in my life. I was thinking why would I have to be tied down so early when I still can enjoy myself with another woman." He said.

Then I slap him in his face. He looked shocked and then I can see the anger in his eyes. My heart hurt thousand more than his face.

"Living with you is such a mistake you know that? So, listen here very carefully, I want you to pack your things from that house and leave. Don't ever thinks of coming back because my lawyer will give you the divorce paper." He said and now I fell into silent and surprised from what he said.

"No... No.. You can't do this to me. I love you with all my heart, Elijah. Besides I'm pre" He cut me off from finishing my sentence.

"I don't care with all your love whatsoever. Just get lost from my life because I want to be free and enjoy my life." He said and I can see that woman is smirking at me. Such a fucking whore!

"You! You're the one who makes my husband like this!! You bitch!" I really want to slap and pull that bitch hair but Elijah stop me.

"Alexa! You're not my wife anymore from now on. Now, You and your pathetic friend can get lost from my sight because I don't want to see your face anymore."

I look at him hoping all this are a nightmare but no, this is real and I slap him again. Never that I thought I could slap him like this.

“Um hello, Mr. Elijah Perkins the one that pathetic is you not me. At least, I don’t get caught redhanded having sex with a whore. I mean look at her, she look fucking ugly with that blond hair and those messy makeup? Just ew from me. Bitch when you thought you won, you’re wrong. You can take this scum bag and suck his dick forever we don’t care,” Thea said and it is so satisfying to hear.

“Just shut up Thea. This is not your fucking business. Stay out of it,”

“Oh yeah? What if I don’t want to? What do you want to do to me? Kill me? Put me in prison? Come on, a guy like you don’t terrify me at all. Let’s go Alexa. I think you’ve seen enough,” Thea takes my hand and before I walk out from the room, I stop and I look at Elijah.

"You're going to regret this Elijah. Sooner or later you'll regret this, I'm sure of that." I said to him. His face shows anger because I slapped him twice and the outburst from Thea.

Thea pull me out from that room and bring me home to pack my things. "Thea, why did he do this to me? I didn't do anything wrong to him. I love him, Thea." She hugs me. "I love him very much and now I'm pregnant with his child. What am I going to do now? How am I going to say to this innocent child? I can’t do this," I burst into tears.

"I'm so sorry, Alexa. I need to show you the true colour of your husband. I mean exhusband from now. I don't want you to be like this."

"Please remember you still have your child with you and also you still have me. I'm your best friend. I won't leave you alone. Forget about him and build a new life. I’ll help you with whatever you need. This will take a quite some time but I know you can make it through it. " I wipe my tears and looks at her. As long as Thea is with me, I think I can do this.

When we arrive at home, I went straight to the room and pack my clothes. I didn't take all of it cause I don't want to take the clothes that Elijah bought for me.

I just take my clothes and left all the things that he bought me. In order for me to move on, I cannot bring or take anything even though I can. Just then the bell ring.

Thea walks downstairs to check who it is while I still packing my clothes.

"Alexa..." I turned around and see Thea with one man I guess that's the lawyer that Elijah talked about.

ALEXA

"Good afternoon Mrs. Perkins, I'm Harold. Mr. Perkins's lawyer and I am are here to give you this." He gives me like a file and I know what it is.

"I'm no longer Mrs. Perkins. You can call me Alexa...” He nodded and I take the file.

I take it out the paper to see that Elijah already sign at his part, which means he already planned to divorce me earlier than I thought. This is going to end.

My life is not perfect anymore. All of this will be memories and maybe it will disappear like a bubble in the sea. I finally gathered all my strength and sign it. Then give it back to Harold.

"Thank you, Alexa. This case will take a quite some time for the court to process. After everything settle, I will let your lawyer know. I will get going now." With that, he walks out and I flopped on the floor.

Thea runs to me and helps me to stand up. "Thea, I think half of my life is gone." I cry and she just patted my back to calm me down.

"You have to be strong. We can start a new life just three of us. You, me and your child." I look at her and she smiles at me

I don't know what to say anymore but maybe what's Thea said was true. He's not the one for me. I need to be strong for this baby. This baby doesn't know anything and does nothing wrong.

“Listen, there are plenty of man that much better that a scum bag Elijah Perkins. Forget about him. He throws you like you don’t have a fucking dignity. He don’t deserve you at all. You are better than this and I hope he will suffer after he realize for what he did to you today.”

“I don’t know. I feel this is all like a bad dream and I want to wake up from this dream,” Elijah was my first love. It is hard to forget all of our memories just like that. It is very suffering.

“This is not a dream, Alexa. You need to face the reality. I know this is very hard for you but trust me once you gain back your strength, you will realize that you better off of him,” She said.

She helps me to pack up then finally we're done. I look around this room before going out. I left my wedding ring on the table and then walk out of the house. I have to be strong. I still have this baby. I keep that in my mind.

"Oh, umm… Alexa, I already booked the tickets for us to go to Los Angeles. It's tonight. Are you okay with it?"

I don't have any strength to talk so I just nodded my head. “Cool, the faster we go from here the better,”

I need to build a new life for me and my child.

I will do as you say I will never appear in front of your face again. I will never want you back after this. Even if one day you might come and crawl back saying that you want me back, I won’t even look at you just how I used to. I don’t want to have anything to do with you anymore.

I'm getting ready to go to work right now. I look at the mirror to see if my appearance is presentable. I spray some cologne then wear my Rolex. I walk out from the walkin closet and then take my phone on the nightstand.

I dialled Martha, my new maid after I got divorced from Alexa. We never hired a maid before this because Alexa said she wanted to do all the chores by herself since she was a fulltime housewife and I agreed with it and now, I need a new maid since there is no one to take care of this house.

"Mr. Perkins." She picks it up after one ring.

"Martha, when you arrive, I want you to take all this woman clothes in my closet and throw or burn it away or maybe you can take it if you want. That's it." With that, I hang up the phone.

I'm free now, so I don't want any woman's things in my house. Right now, I can go out with any woman that I want without no one stopping me.

Being in a relationship was fun but I'm the one who got bored so easily and about my relationship with Alexa, I myself was quite shocked cause I actually stay loyal to one girl for almost three years.

She was fun but looking at her face every day makes me sometimes felt bored. I need some new chicks by my side to make my life more fun. I won’t be in this age and have fun like this. Enjoy the young age while we can.

I walk out of the house and got into my car, black Jaguar. I drive to my company. I give my car keys to the chauffeur and walk inside.

I already got used to being centre of the attention so I just walk straight to my private elevator because I don't like to get into the same lift with the number of people. I need to show them that I'm their boss that they need to respect.

"Good morning Mr. Perkins. They already waiting for you in the meeting room sir." My secretary said and I just nodded at her then heading to the meeting room.

To be honest, I hate morning meeting. When I walk into the room, everyone standing to show some respect to me. It's not a board meeting it just the manager from the every department in this building and all.

Then we start the meeting as soon as I take a seat.

The meeting takes about two hours and now I'm in my office doing my work. It's a good thing that my other meeting is in three hours. I take a look at the files of my new project in Milan until my office door open.

I want to be mad if that was my secretary but no it's my best friend, Joseph Sanchez. He walks in and sits on the couch.

"What’s bring you here?" I ask him and he just smirks in reply.

Joseph is my best friend since we both in high school. Back there I used to have lots of friends but all of them ended up staying away from me because of my arrogant and egoistic attitude.

Joseph was the one who stays by my side and bears with my attitude until now.

"Why don't we go and have fun tonight. At the club? It's been a while man. Let’s celebrate you for being single again. It feels good isn’t it?" He asks and I put my pen down then walk to the couch across him.

"It is feel good but I'm not in the mood, Joseph.. I have a lot of works and I might get really tired. I just want to rest tonight." I lean my head to the couch and close my eyes.

"Oh really? Or maybe you already feel regret that you got divorced with Alexa? Who knows... Ha!" I just stay silent.

"You still love her, don't you? Well of course you are. I don't even know why you cheated on her and divorced her."

ELIJAH

"I mean she's hot and beautiful. If I were you, I won’t let her go away. What else do you need? She can give you everything bro," Joseph added.

"You better shut your mouth before I make you," I warned him and heard him laughed. I still got my eyes close.

“I have to go to court and settle everything with this divorce things. I don’t know divorce could get this complicated.”

“That’s how it is. You want a good life, you need to face the bitter of life first. Then the sweetness will come later,” I open my eyes and look at him. He is wiggling his eyebrows annoyingly.

"You know what, sometimes you're acting stupid. So stupid that I can’t even help it. I think this is the dumbest thing you've ever made bro. By the way, I'm not here to nag at you or anything. I want to ask you to go to the club that's all. If you still can't move on, sure okay then." I open my eyes when he said that.

"I want to enjoy my life, Joseph and I think what I did was the right thing. Maybe it's just a little weird but I feel happy now. More than before. And fine I'll go tonight. Just text me the location." I said and he smirks. It's a good thing he is my friend or else I already punch that face.

“Oh by the way, how’s your parents? Are they okay with all this?”

“I didn’t tell them yet. I was thinking maybe next week or later. I don’t know what to expect from them,” My family love Alexa so much.

They treat her like a real daughter and even my sister get jealous of her sometimes. Especially my mom, she treats Alexa in a very loving way and the fact that I have to tell them about this matter quite stressing me out.

Alexa was such a big impact to my family.

“You scared huh?”

“Says who?” I ask.

“Your face bro. You afraid that your parents will cut you off or what?”

“Nah, I know they will be cool about this. Maybe a bit sad but they’re going to be just fine,” I said confidently.

I'm on my way to go to the club that Joseph texted me. I think this is the first start for me for being Single. I wear my black jeans and then my white shirt.

The club is not that far from my house it just takes about 10 minutes or so because I drive on full speed. Can't blame me though because this car made me drive like that.

I park my car into the VIP section then get in. The guards immediately let me in when they know who am I.

The good thing about being rich and famous. I walk and roam my eyes to look for Joseph first. A few seconds later, my eyes fall at Joseph who already has two girls on his side.

He's so fast of getting a girl. Of course her is, he is like the biggest player I’ve ever known in my life. Woman comes and go from his life. That’s how interesting joseph’s life is.

Just then, One girl wraps her arms around my neck. I smirk at her and she just gives me a seductive smile. We go and dance on the floor.

I hold her waist and kiss her neck. She moans when I kiss her sensitive spot. Tonight is going to be so much fun. I never feel so free after these three years.

This feelings makes me very confident that I not doing any mistakes for letting Alexa go.

"Let's go somewhere more private?" She asks and I walk out from the sea of people and got out of the club.

We go to the nearest hotel. I usually didn’t get out from the club this fast but I guess tonight is an exception.

I can come back tomorrow and maybe have sex in the VIP section.

After we got into the room, I immediately kiss her lips. She kisses me back soon after. My hands already roam all over her body and she moans loudly.

Even though her smells reeks of alcohol and cigarette, I don’t give damn about it as long as I can have her body for tonight. We're now on the bed and I'm shirtless now while her still in her undergarments.

It takes not so long until she's naked too. The sounds that she makes hype me more. Single life let’s go!

The next morning....

I woke up and see a woman sleeping next to me. I smirk and then walk to the bathroom. I take a really short shower and then wear my clothes.

I take my phone, wallet, and keys, but before I walked out leaving that woman, I left some money on the nightstand because she might want the money after all.

That’s how woman nowadays. If you have the money, they will come to you like a magnet. It’s very easy to get. Then, I left the hotel room.

I wait for lift a few minutes then press L as soon as I get in. "Yes, sir." My secretary answered.

"Willow, I will arrive after lunch or a little bit late. Please reschedule my appointment." I said.

"Alright sir, anything more?" She asks. "No," I said.

I hang up and then got into my car. I drive home to take another shower. My body feels so uncomfortable. Of course, I feel uncomfortable because I was such in hurry when I take a shower at that hotel room.

It’s not like I’m not used to shower at the hotel, but It just I want to get out from that place before that woman wakes up. Things will get very complicated if she wakes up and I am still there.

First, she will try to seduce me to stay with her more longer and second, I don’t want to stay with her anymore. One night is enough. When I arrived at my home, I unlocked the door and then straight go upstairs to my room.

I take a shower like 10 minutes then walk out from the bathroom with a towel wrap around my waist. I look around the room and see there are photos me and Alexa hanging at the wall.

I thought Martha already throws it away everything that reminds me of Alexa. She is a beautiful woman but sadly I got bored of her. If she comes a bit late, I might let her be my flings or whatsoever.

Whatever it is, I need to move out of this house as soon as possible. Sell this house and move to my penthouse is better.

Maybe I will find for it tomorrow because I don't want to live in this house which is our memories so much here.

The memories of her are all good memories but I don’t want to feel like I am the problem in this relationship. I don’t want to blame myself for anything even though it was not my fault.

I am doing a favour for both of us to have a chance to enjoy the young life and be with whoever we want. She should thank me for that.

I walk to my walk in closet then wear my suit. After a few minutes, I'm finally done. I look at my watch then immediately go out. If not, I might be late but who cares, I am the boss. I got into my car and then drive to my company.

ALEXA

Three years later....

"Ms. Johnson." I look up to see my secretary, Hera come and standing in front of me.

"Yes? Anything?" I said and smile at her.

"Actually you have a meeting now and everyone is waiting for you." My eyes widen cause I totally forgot about that meeting.

"Oh god. How can I forget about it? Let's go now." I said and take my phone also with the file that needed for the meeting. We walk out and go to the meeting room to see that everyone are here.

"I'm sorry I'm late. Can we start now?" With that, the meeting starts. These days, I’ve been super busy and I didn’t even eat properly. I need to get some rest after all this.

Well as you know, I have my own boutique now. I start to open my own company and now here I am. A fashion designer and I are really happy with it. I have almost more than 5 boutiques.

One at London, one at Milan the other 3 are at where I start my dream, Los Angeles. I start my new life here with all the money I got from my parttime job and now my income already stable.

Well, more than stable I can say. I started this business just like two years ago and Thea was the one who helps me so much. I am so grateful she stay with me during my hard time.

Basically, both of us owned this boutique. I studied in fashion and design back when I'm in university, so I take that as an opportunity for me to start my own clothing line.

It always been my dream to open my own brand and thank god I can finally achieve it. It's all started with a small shop and then we got so much request to open a boutique and all.

Thea and I worked so hard to earn money to open our first boutique, we got lots of problems at first but then after a few months, it's started to become better and better.

All the hard work are really paid off. My life starting to get much better. Thanks to someone who makes me realize that I don’t need him in my life.

Three years has passed and I feel so much better than before. I am so proud of myself that I can actually achieve what I have now. With my little family by my side.

The meeting was about my new branch in Brooklyn, New York. The launching will be held in three days and of course, I feel excited and a bit nervous.

The moment I opened the door, my babies run towards me and hug my feet. Yup, you heard it right, my babies.

I was pregnant with fraternal twins, Gabriel and Gabriella and of course, that's my other happiness that happened in my life. Thea was the one who helped me through all this. I'm really glad that I got a best friend like her.

Now, she's staying at Paris cause she got a job there as an interior designer. It's been two years she moves there but we still contact each other and met some time.

I told her to stay with me and work together with me in expanding this business but she said to me that being an interior designer was her dream.

So I need to let her go. It was hard at first because we need to be away from each other after everything we’ve been through but I can’t make her stay with me and not pursuing her dreams.

"Hello, my love." I hug both of them then kiss their cheeks.

I put my handbag on the table and walk to the living room with them. "So, tell me what are you doing today?" I ask.

"We eat." Gabriel and Gabriella said in unison and that makes me laugh cause they're so cute.

"That's it?" I look at both of them.

"We play, sleep and eat," Gabriel said and then he grins at me. Then Dolly, the nanny that I hired to take care of my babies walk into the living room.

"Oh hey Dolly," I said and she sends me a smile.

"Umm Ma'am. I didn't shower them yet. May I take them and go shower?" She said.

"If that so, that's fine. besides, I want to bring them to the playground. So if they take a shower now, they might need to take a shower again." I said and then Gabriel and Gabriella sequel in happiness.

"Are you guys happy?" They both nodded their heads.

"Dolly I'm going to change my clothes first. You get the kids ready." She nodded her head and I make my way to my room too.

I pick the casual outfit. I put my hair in a low bun then walked out from my room. I wait for them in the living room and a few minutes later, I heard their footsteps running down the stairs.

"Mommy let's go! Let’s goooo," They said in unison and I walk to see them already stand at the door with an excited face.

"Dolly you can go home now. I can manage. Thank you for today," She nodded her head and take her bag to go home.

"Gabriel, Gabriella don’t run. Oh gosh. Mommy having a hard time catching you both," I said while shaking my head. They're so hyper.

I look at Gabriel and Gabriella playing on the playground while sitting on one of the benches there. I smile looking at both of them. They're so cute.

Gabriel has dark brown hair and brown eyes while Gabriella has light brown hair and brown eyes too. They actually look a lot like him and to be honest I never forget about him at all.

The memories when he kicked me out like a stray dog. I never forget that incident. The fact that my kids actually kind of look like him makes me pissed.

I am the one who carry them and take care of them but he still need to appear. I know he also contribute for making them but still I hope they don’t look like him at all. What can I do, there’s nothing I can do. I still love my kids though.

Just then my phone ring. I take out from my pocket and pick up the call.

After a few minutes, I close my phone and look at the playground to see if Gabriel and Gabriella are okay. I look around but they're not there.

Suddenly, I feel so anxious and immediately get up from my seat and look for them.

"Gabriel! Gabriella!" I shouted but they're not there. I might have a panic attack now.

I look around the whole park but still can't find them. Suddenly my tears come out without any warning. No, they can't be missing. I need to find them. God help me.

I wipe my tears and look back at the playground. They're my life and now they're not in this playground. I just move my attention to my phone for a few seconds and now they are gone.

Where are they? I look around the playground like crazy and the tears keep rolling down my cheeks.

Just then, I saw them at one of the tables near the playground and eating ice cream?

I run to them and see they're eating ice cream peacefully. I take a deep breath of relief and sit next to Gabriella. I wipe my tears and look at them.

"Gabby! Ella! Where are you guys went? Huh? You know you almost makes me have a heart attack." I said and both of them just grin at me with their innocence faces.

“Who gave you ice cream?” I ask.

"Kind uncle,” Gabriel said and continue to eat his ice cream.

"Kind uncle? Who's that? Why are you not telling me, Gabriel, what if he is a kidnapper? You might never see me again. What if he brought you both to some unknown places and then kill you and I might never see you both ever again."

"This is not safe for you both to follow some stranger even though they got a bunch of candies or ice cream. You are not supposed to follow people you don't know. Do you guys hear me?" I said and they both nodded their head and still eating that ice cream. I sigh. This is my fault too.

I’m not supposed to look at my phone and let them playing unattended. I should pay Dolly for over time every time I need to bring my kids out because I don’t want this incident to happen again. That’s enough only once. It’s traumatize me already.

"No mommy, he's good. Sowwy, mommy." Gabriella said and look at me with her kitten eyes. Gosh, this kid knows how to make my heart soft but still it makes me feel like I am a bad mom since I can’t take care of them right.

No Alexa, stop think negatively and focus on your children now. They are here and safe.

"Fine this time both of you been forgiven but next time don't follow some stranger ever again alright? This is so dangerous. Hey, listen to me it's Dangerous. Okay? Dangerous," They nodded their heads.

Whoever that man is, he should not take anyone’s children just like that and buy them ice cream. That’s so unresponsible of him.

Maybe he don’t ever know how is the feeling of almost losing a children. That man most probably don’t have a children yet.

"After this, both of you take a shower," I said and look at them. Both of them have ice cream all over their face and shirts.

We're now on our way to go home. It's not taking too long to arrive at home cause the park is not that far it just takes about 10 minutes by car.

I take them out of the car and walk with them inside the house. "Now go to your room. Mommy will be there shortly," I said and they walk upstairs.

I get into my room and put my handbag and phone on the bed then go to their room to get them clean. “Come here,” I take off their clothes and halffill the tub with water. I love giving them a bath because I can see how they are having so much fun.

“Mommy! Bubbles!” Gabriella said excitedly. I let them play in that tub for a few minutes. I smile looking at them having fun.

I can’t imagine if both of them are not found today. I will regret and put all the blame to myself forever. They are my life and the only family I have by blood. I need to be more alert when taking them out or maybe I should just bring Dolly along.

“Okay guys, come let mommy rinse you,” I quickly finish bathing them and take them out of the tub. They might catch a cold if I let them longer in that. I wrap the towel around them and let them walk out the bathroom. Quickly make the wear the pyjamas.

“Mommy?” Gabriel look at me.

“Yes love?”

“Hungry,” I chuckle.

“Mommy will make dinner for you after this. Come wear the clothes,” I said.

I walk downstairs after I change into new clothes. I cook our dinner and when it's done, I call the twins to come down.

"Sit first I take your bib to prevent the food fall on your PJs." They take their seat. I look at them eating and they stuff the food all over the face. I take a bite too with them.

People said eating with toddlers are always chaotic but thankfully Gab and Ella are well behave every time the eat.

Well, not every time because they sometimes fight over food and that’s how it started to be chaotic and all. I do need to separate them and make them sit face to face rather than besides each other. That’s the only way to let them eat their own food rather than stealing each other’s.

The times is nearly ten now. "Gab, Ella, let's go to bed now." I walk into the living room and switch off the television. I hold both of their hands and walk upstairs together.

"You guys need a good sleep cause tomorrow we're going to New York," I said when I set them on the bed.

"Mommy, Can I ask?" Gabriel ask. "What it is Gab?" I replied.

"Where daddy? Kind uncle is daddy?” He asks makes me raised my eyebrows.

All these years I never mentioned about him at all and now suddenly Gabriel asks about it. Such a random thing for three years old to ask me something like this. I know that they will be asking this matter but I don’t expect it to be so soon.

"Why are you out of the sudden asks me that?" They never ask about Elijah and this is the first time they ask.

"I want daddy. Daddy kind and buy ice cream,” Gabriella reply.

"Ummm yeah your dad is a good person but no both of you not going to meet that 'kind' uncle ever again. that's dangerous. We don’t know him at all," I said even though I don't want to say that 'good person' but I need to talk nicely to these kids.

I wish I can say that their father was a cheater, arrogant, stupid, jerk, man whore, dickhead, scumbag and assholes man I've ever met but Gabriel and Gabriella were too young for that.

“Daddy?” Ella asks.

“Your dad is not here. It’s just mommy and you both. Okay?”

“Okay mommy,”

"Now, stop talking about it and sleep. Sweet dream. I’ll meet you both in the morning. I love you," I said and kiss their forehead before walk out from the room.

ALEXA

"Gab, Ella wake up. We're here." Literally, we're on the plane and after a few hours of long flight, we're finally landed in New York.

"Mommy, where are we?" Gabriella asks me with sleepy eyes while Gabriel yawns and try to sleep again. Gosh, this is going to be hard cause this is the first time three of us ride a plane together.

"Gabby, please wake up. You can continue your sleep when we arrived at the hotel. Wake up." I wake him up but he ends up cry but not too loud.

That's a relief or else, that will attract people’s attention and I don’t like when people look at me and my children in judging way. My babies sleep through the way. I am so proud of them.

"Ummm miss, I'm sorry but you need to get out from this plane." One of the stewardesses said to me with a smile.

"Okay just give me a minute." I carried Gabriel and hold Gabriella's hand with my free hand. It’s okay Alexa, you can handle this. You are a super mom.

That's a good thing that three of us already arrived at the hotel. My body feels hurt cause I had to carry Gabriel even in the taxi.

He sure sleeps a lot while Gabriella is always hungry. They still have different personality even though they're twins. I always find it hard to predict their mood because it changes so quick.

"Mommy, hungry." Gabriella pull my dress. I look at her disbelief.

"Gabriella, you just eat like 20 minutes ago," I said and she begins to whine.

"Fine, fine. Mommy will call the room service." No matter what, she's my daughter. I won't let my children starving.

I call the room service to send us some food and not long after that, the food arrived. Gabriella jumping in happiness when she saw the foods.

I let them eat on their own because they don’t want me to feed them. One time I tried it, they end up sulked. Let me tell you once they sulking, it is very hard. I REPEAT, VERY HARD to coax them back.

It's 6:15 and I only got about another fifteen minutes before my driver picks us up and go to the launching. Gosh, I'm so excited and nervous.

I feel nervous cause I am scared if this event didn't go as planned or something bad happens in the middle of the event.

I take a deep breath and think positively. "Everything's going to be just fine," I said to myself.

Right now, I already wear my dress for tonight and for the last touch, I take the earrings then I'm done. "Gabriel, Gabriella come here," I called them.

"Mommy, I'm not a gift," Gabriel ask me while showing at his bow. I smiled at him because he is too cute when he frowns. Gabriel looks so cute in his little tuxedo. Just like his dad.

"But you look handsome when you wear this. So wear it?" I pinch his cheeks and he nodded at me. When I see Gabriel already done, I take a look at Gabriella who has messy hair.

"Ella, come here. I need to tie your hair up." She runs to me from the bed.

"Mommy do my hair like a pwincess." She said and I nodded my head. I place her on the chair and start to make her hair. After a few minutes, her hair finally done. I put her hair into a French braid. She looks so cute. I look at the time and then walk to grab my purse.

"Let's go kids. We have to go now." I said to them and they run out of the room. Gosh, these kids love to run so much. I shake my head.

The drive only takes about 10 minutes to arrive at my new boutique. I walk inside to see all the preparation and the models who're going to enrich my designs.

The smile creeps on my lips cause finally, my career becomes bigger day by day. Tonight will be so busy.

I should bring Dolly along.

Sadly I just realize that I won't be able to look at my babies tonight. I don't want that incident to happen again. I look around to find the person who I can trust to take care of my babies. I need to hurry or else these two kids will start running around again and makes me lost control.

"Gabriel, Gabriella come with me. Let's go." I bring them to one of the rooms and that room happen to be the office. Good.

"Listen to me, please don't running around here. This place got lots of people and you both might be lost and I will be so sad if that happens. You want to see mommy crying again?"

They shake their heads and I hope they really can behave only for tonight. Just then, the door open and shows my secretary.

I call her a while ago and asked if she could take care of Gabriel and Gabriella and I am super lucky when she said she can take care of them.

"I'm so sorry to burden you to take care of my kids tonight. I should have to bring their nanny along but I didn't think of that before. How careless I am." I said to her feeling quite guilty.

"It's fine Ms. Johnson, I can take care of them. Besides, I used to take care of my niece and I think I can manage this. Don't worry about them."

"I trust you in this and don't worry I will increase your pay this month. I owe you one. I think I need to go now." I said and she nodded her head with a smile.

"Both of you, listen to her alright? I will be back as soon as I can. I love you both and thank you again," I walk out of the office and greet the people there before the show started. I walk to go to the backstage and see all the models are getting ready for this.

"Okay well, everyone!" I called all of them to gather around before the event start. "Well, I want all of you to do your best and good luck to everyone." With that, all the models and staff are dismissed their self and get into position.

I look at the front to see the people already fill the seat and that makes me feel so nervous as hell. When it's time, I walk out to make my entrance to the whole audience.

I put the smile on my face and then start to give them the speech that I've been practiced since two days ago.

After that, the show begins. I am so exhausted cause I had to walk here and there to make sure all the models are ready.

"Where's the model that should wear this design?" I ask one of the models there but she just shakes her head. I walk out from the makeup room and search for the model who supposes to wear the next design.

I walk so fast until I hit something hard and I guess that's someone cause I can smell cologne.
